You're Not My Mate novel Chapter 23

"Nothing of your concern." He stated.

"Nothing of my concern?! This is my land!" I shouted, my pack behind me bowed slightly. He sighed.

"I had to get her piss her off to get an good measurement of her power, I have stated this before." He puts his hands in his pockets.

"Then why wasn't she contained in hell as you did it?" Simon butts in. Sean clenched his law at this.

"For reasons that she nor anyone including me in hell will talk about." Sean slightly flinched as he spoke.

'What happened?' Leo asked.

'How am I supposed to know?' I responded.

Violet passes us for her first lap and Sean presses the 'lap' button on his stop watch, shakes his head and watches her run.

".34 seconds late. Pathetic." He mumbles under his breath.

".34? That's not even a second. What's wrong with that?!" Rachel asks with a raised voice making me jump.

"When the hell did you get there?" I asked slightly frightened. She just gives me a look saying 'shut the fuck up or I will kill you.'

"She needs tp be directly on time or better, of she is that slow then she will die, easily." He states.

"What the hell is she running from in her human form that can run the borders of my land in less then..." I look over at his stopwatch.

"23 Minutes?" I ask. Then pause.

"Wait how can Violet do that?" I continue. He sighs.

"Because she's a demon she can do it, she has a demon's speed. Also every year she has to go to hell and compete in a 'game' you could say." He explains with air quotations when he said 'game'.

"What's the game?" Simon asked, what is it with this pack sneaking up on me?! I jump slightly but relax after I know that there is no danger.

"The games that she has to play is a series of fights and tasks that are broadcasted all over hell. All of them are done in a arena that would take up five of your territories. If she is not fast enough or strong enough then she will die. Only three demons will come out of the arena alive." He explains.

"How many start out in the arena?" Rachel asks.

"I think you know exactly where she is, and you just told me. Thank you." He says and runs up to Violets room, we run after him.

"Violet. Where are you?" Sean says under his breath after looking at every posible spot she could be in. He then walks put of the room and a few doors down. Leaving us confused. He opens the door and we all get behind his to look inside.

"So you haven't forgotten everything I taught you? Good. But it's time for your injection." Violet was leaning of the wall opposite of us with her knife in hand.

"Sean. I have to train Alex's pack today. I can't have it right now." She states.

"Well you should have told me before you ran away."

"You would have said, 'suck it up your still getting it.'"

"yes I would have said that but I wouldn't have given the whole thing to you, now I am." He says and Violet grips the knife. Sean sighs and puts the needle that I hadn't realised he had down on the nightstand and sat on the bed.

"Violet. Come sit." He says calmly and Violet obeys, but Violet still has the knife at the ready.

"You have to be amune before we go to the arena. They are increasing the dosage on you because of your powers. I don't want to see you get killed. I mean come on you have to take over hell you can't die because of some stupid injection." Sean explains. Violet nods and lays in the middle of the bed. He looks at me.
