Maximilian had been there so he talked to Grace, “But I hope you can calm down before you take any actions.” Although Grace was good at sorcery and mastered some martial arts, he was worried she was no match to her rival in terms of dirty tricks.
“No sweat! I can cope with that,” said Grace confidently.
Maximilian said with a smile, “I have confidence on you.” He didn’t want to meddle in it because he assumed Grace would be cautious with her actions. Grace set out immediately and Maximilian didn’t stop her any more. It should be Grace who avenged her father.
Victoria was confused so she asked, “What’s going on? Where is she going?”
Maximilian said with a smile, “Don’t worry. She’s just out for a walk. Are you having a fever? Why is your face burning like mad? Shall I give you an injection?”
Victoria blushed and rolled her eyes at Maximilian, “Knock it off.”
Ever since the Topyuan Group’s crisis had been tackled, various forces started to stir the water. Theo and Darian had thought that Topyuan Group would have gone bankrupt in the fierce battle. So they had mixed feelings when they heard the news that Topyuan Group’s crisis had been tackled. They were happy because the Griffith’s company would not be in danger then but they hated to see that Victoria got through the crisis a second time. But if people came after Victoria, it wouldn’t do them any good either. They were indeed in a dilemma.
On the terrace, Dragon Queen was astonished at the news and her face turned black. Harley was also shocked at the jaw-dropping news. It came as a total surprise to Dragon Queen that her elaborate scheme had been destroyed by Maximilian easily, with which she had hoped to give him a death blow. Her unexpected failure reminded her of the story of Chou Yu, a famous general back in the ancient three Kingdoms, who suffered a fiasco while trying to take down Liu Bei, the Lord of Virtue. Although she was nothing like Chou Yu, she did suffer a fiasco.
Earth to him, Harley catered to Dragon Queen, “How is that possible?”
Dragon Queen looked at him as if she were looking at an idiot, “Didn’t you say it was brilliant?”
Harley was embarrassed. He just put forward an idea. It was not his business to make sure that it worked. He had also thought it would have worked out. He was shocked at the result too. He believed there must have been something wrong.
He was familiar with the routes in H City and he knew there was a shortcut which really saved him quite some time. Maximilian sped up and drove extremely fast. Finally he arrived.
Grace tried to keep herself awake before Maximilian arrived. She knew she could be saved as long as Maximilian made it in time. She looked at the vague figures in front of her coldly and said resentfully, “Shame on you.”
“Ha-ha! If I hadn’t played dirty, I wouldn’t have made it. Say, hottie, you’d better not struggle.”
Grace really regretted her action. She wouldn’t have ended up like this if she had listened to Maximilian. It was because of her reckless action that she was stuck in such a circumstance.
The people around her snickered. They were so horny at the sight of Grace’s great curve which was like a perfect statue to them. They were obsessed with her. “It’s perfect.” They took a deep breath and were about to get their hands on her when Maximilian broke in, which startled the people on the spot.
