Khalid stopped playing around and quickly got that guy laying on the floor, “Oh… I’m old. I don’t have my stamina anymore.”
After he pretentiously said that, Khalid glimpsed over Maximilian and looked up the sky.
He was too embarrassed because he never won once ever since he met Maximilian. Even his proud acting skill could not fool him.
Maximilian walked up to the enemy, “Say it. Where is Jasmine?”
“She is gone already, but she left a phone on the second floor. You could video chat her. We just stayed here TO test your ability.” That guy said.
Maximilian was a bit surprised at his begging, “Tell me about Jasmine, then I’ll let you go.”
“I don’t know about her either. We were all hired by her. She asked us to stay here. We just got blinded by the money.”
Khalid came near and said, “Hehe.. she seems to be an experienced one too. This plan is not bad.”
Maximilian nodded, feeling the same. he was going to catch Jasmine and ask her about the guy on her back, but now it looked like that plan would not work.
“Stay here with them. I’ll go upstairs.” Maximilian ordered, then walked into the hotel.
Khalid put in some grasses and started smoking his pipe.
After he was done, he blew the fog onto the enemy’s face, “Tell me about Jasmine.”
“Dude, I really have no idea. I told him what I know. I don’t need to hide anything.”
“Still lying? You think I’m easy to fool?” Khalid goggled.
“No, no. I really don’t know. I don’t even know her look. She is an experienced one. She is not a nobody.”
Khalid squinted his eyes and took a hit, “You were yelling about killing us, so what were you planning to do after killing us?”
“We didn’t even really try to kill you. Yelling like that is just a habit. Jasmine just wanted us to catch you, then make you sleep and bring you to her room. Nothing else.”
“Her room?” Khalid said lightly, then started thinking to himself.
This thing was not that easy as it looked. Now he was already involved in it. What should he do later? Should he follow Maximilian all the way to the abyss?
It was not a good idea to follow Maximilian. He should leave here for two years first for his own good.
After making his mind, Khalid looked around and got ready to flee from the spot he chose from earlier.
However, not even in two steps, Khalid’s ears moved as he quickly dodged backwards.
Weng!
“My good brother. You had to get an explanation from me, but I could not give you one, so I had to do this.” Jasmine organized her hair and took a sip from the red wine.
Maximilian frowned. He did not like this feeling of having no control of the situations. He liked to feel assure, “Jasmine, just say it. Who are you working for? I can promise you safety as long as you said it.”
“I think you already knew the answer. Why do you have to ask?” Jasmine chuckled covering her mouth.
“I really don’t know. How about you give me some hints?” Maximilian said coldly, while thinking about where Jasmine could be hiding now.
Maximilian could be sure that she was still in this city, and she might be planning something bigger and more dangerous.
“Hahaha.” Jasmine drank up the red wine. Because she drank it fast, a sip flew down on her lip.
That red wine looked like blood, dripping down from her brightly red lips.
Jasmine said, “My good little brother, how could you ask me like that? I can’t answer you now. Unless…”
“Unless what?” Asked Maximilian.
“Unless you help me with one thing. I will tell you.”
Maximilian squinted his eyes, “Say it. I’ll see if I could do it.”
