Chapter 1841: Arriving at the Right Time

"No, our equipment is all satellite-based. There can't be no signal inside, otherwise, how would they communicate with the outside?" Felix pondered for a moment. "If by any chance there really is no signal, according to the original plan, you lead the team in half an hour later. We'll go in and explore the place."

"Alright, that's settled," Mr. Ball nodded.

The terrain was intricate and complex, and although it was a dark corner, it was well-maintained with no musty smell. The fresh air system was on 24/7. The floor was covered with European-style antique tiles, and the walls were uneven with siliceous mud. The furniture and decorations all exuded a dark atmosphere.

Felix understood it all too well-Cloud was indeed cunning. No wonder this place had become their stronghold. It was truly a good location.

Felix and Wu Hao exchanged glances and quietly proceeded, preparing to investigate separately.

As they walked deeper, another man in black suddenly appeared. He, too, wore a head covering that only revealed his eyes.

The man complained upon seeing them, "Why did you take so long? The boss is waiting for the meeting, what are you standing around for? Hurry up!"

Felix knew that the men in black recognized them by the numbers on their clothes.

At this moment, Felix and Wu Hao dared not speak, fearing they would give themselves away, so they nodded in agreement. A meeting? Where were they going to have the meeting? What if they went in the wrong direction and were discovered? Felix made up his mind. When in doubt, rely on guesswork. He headed straight for the end of the corridor.

Wu Hao understood and placed his hand by his side, making a discreet OK gesture.

With this, he would be able to cut off the wireless control and rescue Vicki smoothly.

Since entering the room, Vicki hadn't said a word. She stood coldly behind Cloud.

Cloud began to talk about the agenda for tonight's meeting.

As Felix listened, he understood. In fact, they had already guessed it-Athena had been transferred to a safe place and was currently recovering. The discussion revolved around the allocation of personnel and necessary precautions.

From the conversation, Felix deduced that Cloud was planning to change their base of operations.

They had come at the right time tonight. If they had arrived one day later, Cloud would have taken Vicki and left this place, meeting up with Athena. Finding Vicki would be even more difficult for him in that case. However, the cunning Cloud didn't reveal any other information during this meeting, especially about their next plans. Felix felt fortunate in his heart that he had decided to take action tonight. Any later, and it would have been too late.
