Luna curled her lips into a smirk as she stared at Joshua. “Alright.“
She no longer had the energy to argue with him, so she decided to relent and instead smiled at him. “I believe you, but just this once. As soon as everything is settled, you’ll bring Nellie and Nigel back and allow me to take them away from Banyan City, right?“
Joshua’s heart leaped into his chest. After a moment, however, he curled his lips into a smile and replied, “ I will.“
He had never wanted to convince Luna to stay. After all, he was the one who had caused the death of both Neil and the unborn baby in Luna’s womb. He had no right to ask her and the children to stay by his side.
Therefore, even though he knew Luna did not truly trust him and was instead just saying it for his sake, Joshua was still willing to tell her the truth.
Luna, on the other hand, was surprised by his answer. She thought that he would find an excuse to change the topic, but this was good, too.
Luna’s expression darkened as she said, “Alright, Mr. Lynch. Please remember everything you told me today.“
With that, she strode into Nigel and Nellie’s room, slamming the door behind her. “I ‘ll be sleeping in the children’s room tonight. Please help yourself, Mr. Lynch.“
Seeing that she had already slammed the door in his face, Joshua had no choice but to shake his head and turn around to leave.
The night passed by peacefully.
The next morning, Joshua and Luna arrived at the mental asylum.
Seeing that Joshua had brought Luna along with him, Mr. Chase thought Joshua still wanted Luna to be locked up. Therefore, as soon as the two stepped through the door, Mr. Chase’s expression darkened, and he immediately ordered, “Lock her up right this instant! “
The guards immediately rushed forward, but Joshua stopped them. He narrowed his eyes and pulled Luna closer to him. “Who dares to touch her?“
As soon as she saw Luna arrive, Janice curled her lips into a faint smile and asked, “Have you been recaptured again, or are you here to bail me out?“
Luna sniffed, then sat down in front of her. “I’m here to bail you out.“ She lowered her gaze and continued, “I was in too much of a hurry that night and didn’t know that the person who would be taking my place was you… If I had known— “
“If you had known, I would’ve ordered them to knock you out, then continue to take your place anyway,“ Janice interjected with a serene smile, looking calm and at ease with her decision. “Luna, I volunteered to take your place in the mental asylum. I owe you this much.“
Luna pursed her lips, then gently gripped Janice’s hands. “Please don’t say that, Aunty Janice. You don’t owe anyone anything.“
Luna knew that this had all been part of Dr. Robert and Fiona’s plan and that Janice had nothing to do with this.
“You’re wrong.“ Janice let out a sigh and closed her eyes. “If I had been able to expose Robert for what he really is when Violet and Shaun got into their accidents, your entire family won’t have to suffer like this. He’s a cruel, heartless man, and he doesn’t deserve to be a doctor.”
As soon as she heard this, Luna’s entire body stiffened. She bit down on her lip. ”So, Aunty Janice.

Luna is sooo stupid!...
This story line is sickening… her children, Nellie in particular, do not like Malcolm. She is already married to Joshua, the father of her children who loves her more than Malcolm ever could. Just disgusting....
Another “misunderstanding”…… poor Luna, why can’t she just say the Quinns kidnapped me instead of assuming Joshua is doing the wrong thing. Terrible....
I sure hope Aura gets arrested and pays for her many crimes soon, along with Adrian and Michael. Joshua and Luna need peace with their children....
Joshua is stupid, he says he loves Luna but refuses to tell her the truth thinking he can never recover from all the deceit, if he told the truth he could redeem himself and live a happy life with his family rather than continue to protect a bunch of evil criminals. Terrible decisions by a man who is smart enough to run a multi faceted company....
Omg this author is twisted!! When does Luna catch a break! This is awful. Aurasnd Fiona are evil, evil women and are using the children to commit their crimes 🤬...
And now the author has made it sound like he cares more for Fiona who he has only known a couple of weeks than Luna, his wife, the love of his life. Stupid and pathetically disgusting....
Wow, making Joshua out to be so stupid, ugh. Yes he told this horrible bitch he would accompany her until she died, but she lied about her fake illness so I guess he’ll have to live with her forever! He also promised to love, honor and cherish his wife Luna however seems to forget that with each passing malicious mistress, Aura, Alice and now Fiona. Awful. Let’s get past this into some storyline that involves some happiness for Luna… the only woman who truly cares for and loves him. Get rid of Fiona, soon....
So disgusted with this Fiona storyline, hope it doesn’t last much longer. Joshua told her when they made the deal he had someone in his heart and would not sleep with her. They could be faking a relationship and he doesn’t have to be so nasty to Luna and the kids. It’s heartbreaking and giving him another ridiculous relationship is unnecessary. Just makes more misunderstandings for Luna and harder for her to forgive him....
Joshua is in the wrong, even if Fiona asked him to keep their fake relationship a secret he should have told Luna what was going on. After all, supposedly he lives Luna and the children and is doing this for them. Being deceiving is not working for him....
