When They Beg I Rise (Lemira) novel Chapter 458

Lemira finally found only intimate photos of Evelina and Dorian Draven in the encrypted album. Nothing more.

She thought for a moment, then decided to plant a virus on Evelina's phone, to keep tabs on who the little miss perfect was contacting.

Lemira shut down her laptop, realizing Evelina's father was indeed very cautious.

And a formidable opponent.

But wasn't Evelina's dad just a country guy who came to the city to work as a driver? How did he know all this high-tech stuff?

The more Lemira thought about it, the more it didn't add up.

But without any leads, she was powerless.

All she could do was wait.

She didn't believe Evelina could keep up her facade forever.

Taking a moment to collect herself, Lemira wandered into the backyard to watch the ants at work.

Soon, a posh lady wearing a hat and mask, looking like she was afraid of being recognized, walked by.

She pulled out her phone and dialed: “Have you found out which room that girl is in?”

Mrs. Amanda thought it best to have a chat with the girl herself, curious about what kind of charm she possessed to have Orion wrapped around her finger.

As Mrs. Amanda made her call, she dodged people, fearful of being spotted by the guards her son had arranged.

If she was seen, she wouldn't be able to approach the girl.

But Mrs. Amanda wasn't watching where she was going. Her high heels missed a step, and she tumbled toward the ground.

“Careful.”

Lemira, with quick reflexes, caught the lady.

Mrs. Amanda, heart racing, patted her chest: “Oh my, that scared me to death, young lady, thank you.”

Chapter 458 3

“Asher, don’t you have a conscience? After all, you and Eve grew up together. Are you really that heartless?”

“Spare me the moral high ground act. Did you forget I nearly died during that live stream?”

Asher was at a loss for words: “But you’re fine, aren’t you?”

“Yeah, I didn’t die, so now it’s not my turn.”

Asher sounded helpless: “Lemira, Eve's dad was there for us when our parents died. I’m begging you, let her off the hook.”

“Are you so sure Evelina’s father is dead?”
