Five years after my death, my ex–husband suddenly regretted it.

He rushed to my house, pointed at the child who looked exactly like me, and coldly asked, “Who is this child, Eileen? Did you have him with some wild man?”

“If you have the ability to steal, why don’t you have the ability to come out and meet me?”

“Knowing that one is in the wrong, it is better to die early and find solace in the tranquility of the grave.”

The daughter cowered in the corner and timidly said, “My mother has already passed away.”

This is the fifth year after my death, and I have been lingering around my daughter Alisha Copeland because I couldn’t bear to leave her alone.

When Elliott Copeland knocked on the door, Alisha was playing with building blocks.

I heard her whisper, “This is the castle I built for Mom.”

Just as I was moved, Elliott’s voice came through, “Eileen, open the door!”

My sister Amelie Hoover was busy in the kitchen preparing lunch, so I asked Alisha to answer the +door.

Alisha looked at the unfamiliar man at the door and asked, “Who are you looking for?”

Elliott’s gaze shifted downward, and as he caught sight of Alisha’s face, anger ignited in his eyes.

He forcefully pushed the door open and shouted my name inside, “Eileen! Eileen, come out!”

Alisha was scared and hid in the corner of the wall, not daring to make a sound.

Amelie heard something unusual outside and quickly came out of the kitchen.

As soon as she saw that it was Elliott, she started scolding, “You rotten scumbag! What are you here for? Get out!”

Elliott ignored her disgust and looked around for my figure.

After no results, he asked Amelie, “Where is Eileen?”

“What the hell is it to you?”

Elliott sneered and turned around, pointing at Alisha as he questioned, “Who did Eileen have this child with?”

“We divorced only a few years ago, and the child has grown so much?”
