Adora was also away on a mission, participating in an operation near the Froania border for almost two weeks.
As the film shoot was nearing its end, Callum wrapped up his scenes, and the production team organized a wrap party for him. Soon, the van cruised down the highway, heading toward the hotel the crew had booked.
Halfway there, Callum's phone rang. As he read the message, his face lit up with joy.
"Change of plans. We're not going to the wrap party. Let's head to the airport instead."
Quentin was puzzled. "What are you up to now? This wrap party is for you. You're the lead actor. How can you not go?"
"Adora's back. It's tough out there on the border, and I worry she might lose weight from hunger. I need to pick her up. Just tell them I'm not feeling well and can't make it to the party. Tell everyone to have a great time," Callum explained.
Quentin shook his head in disbelief. "All you think about is Adora. Does she even care about you as much as you care about her?"
Callum remained silent. Just then, his phone chimed again with another message.
Callum glanced down, his expression growing serious. "Change of plans again. Let's go to Peakview Tower instead."
Quentin was taken aback. Having been with Callum for so long, he knew this was where Adora's boyfriend lived.
"Have you lost your mind? She's already at her boyfriend's place. Why are you trying to get in the middle of that? You're acting like some bitter ex," Quentin said.
Callum remained silent but insisted, "We're going to Peakview Tower."
"Can you please not talk like that? It's not what you think," Adora defended.
"Then what is it? Every time we fight, you run off to another man. What am I supposed to think? How can I trust you?" Brooklyn accused.
Callum leaned against the wall outside the door, listening to the couple's loud argument. His hands, tucked in his pockets, clenched tightly as his face grew pale.
He did not leave. He just stood there, silently listening to the words that tore him up inside. He tried to convince himself to give up, to stop loving her, that it was but a pipe dream.

The readers' comments on the novel: Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson)
The novel is too abusive it spoils the joy of reading it. I hate the punishment part between sheena and Eliot....
