Unwanted Wife novel Chapter 56

 Monique POV

I’m here outside in the bar with Zach, I met him back then at a fashion show and I was surprised to see him here because I knew he was in another country.

While we were talking happily, I was surprised when he suddenly kissed me, I couldn't move immediately because I was probably drunk. I just let go of him when I noticed that there so I quickly pushed him away and I saw Cain looking at us.

"C-cain, that's not what you think, 'I stammered as I left Zach and walked over to him.

"Why explain yourself? You know I don't care," he insisted

"C-cain," 

"Next time before you flirt don't forget that you're with other person or friends and learn to let them know that your going out with someone so you can't trouble them, if it wasn't for Jewel I wouldn't waste time looking for you where you're just flirting here, "he promised directly

Monique couldn't stop her tears from flowing because of what she heard from the young man, later on she didn't notice Zach approaching her.

"What's going on? Why are you crying Monique? What did this guy do to you?" he asked while holding the girl's shoulder

Monique quickly turned around. "N-nothing, we're just talking."

But the young man did not seem to believe what she said and turned to Cain. "What did you tell her? She won't cry like that if it was nothing," Zack accused

"You don't care what we talked about or maybe you want me to repeat what I said to that woman?" Cain answered

"She has a name! You should respect her." Zach gritted his teeth.

Monique intervened to prevent the two from fighting. "Please stop it Cain, Zach. It's embarrassing to other people who is here," She pleaded

"Tell your man, he shouldn't get involved in other people's conversations," Cain insisted.

"You idiot! You have no right to insult Monique."

"Who are you? Don't act like a hero cause you know nothing." Cain said

Monique screamed when Zack suddenly punched Cain.

The girl quickly approached Cain because the edge of his lip was dulled by the blow given by the young man. Cain was about to retaliate but Monique approached him.

 "Zack hey! Stop that." she shouted at his friend. 

"Cain, are you okay?" She turned to Cain.

But the young man just withdrew his hand. "I don't need your concern! Tell that man of yours to be too inquisitive," Cain said angrily.

"I guess you are fine, you can go home alone," he added and continued walking.

"Zack what are you doing, huh? Why did you punch him?  You shouldn't do that!"

Monique's tears kept falling because of what the young man said. It was more painful for her to see that the man she loves is hurting and crying infront of her.

She tried to touch him but just avoided. "C-cain," she called but the young man just shook his head and walked away.

She chased it again and hugged it back. "C-cain, please. I know I made a mistake, I know I hurt you too much but I hope you give me a chance."

"Let me go Monique, let me go."

The girl just shook her head. "I don't want to, as long as we don't talk properly."

"Don't test my patience, as long as I can hold back my anger let me go now."

But the girl was stubborn. "Even if you pushed me away I won't leave, I won't let you go Cain even if you already give up, I still won't give up."

Cain violently removed Monique's hug from him and pushed her away to Monique's surprise. "I told you not to overdo my patience. Don't you really have any dignity? After you flirt and kiss another man you will say to me you want us back? Are you really making fun of me? Bullshit! I'm not a fool Monique! I hope after this vacation you'll stop chasing me and talking to me. " Monique could see the burning anger in Cain's eyes as he said those things to her.

Monique barely knew what to say and when Cain turned around and walked away she didn't chase him anymore, too much had happened to them that night and she didn't want anything worse.

She immediately returned to the suite where they were and put away her belongings. She has already decided to go home first and not go with the five, she will just leave a note or send a message to Jewel so that she will not be looked at.

It occurred to her that too much had happened in the past few weeks so the problem only got worse especially between them, but that doesn't mean that she was giving up because she knew in herself that she had no intention of letting Cain go. She would let them both rest first because what had happened to them had not been easy.

'I hope the day will come that you will forgive me and  you will open your heart for me again,' she whispered and continued to arrange her belongings.
