After that incident came back to her mind she couldn't help but sigh, she remembered her best friend who treated her like a sister who died because of her, if Daven didn't save her, he would probably still be alive. Three years had passed since a nightmare happened in her life but until now she still carries the weight in her chest.

She closed her eyes to stop the tears from falling. She thought she was okay and moved on already but the truth is she is not, that incident is still fresh to her mind, she didn't realize that she had fallen asleep thinking too much.

She just woke up when she heard a series of knocks on her hotel unit. She knew that it was Cain, she immediately stood up and walked towards the door and opened it, the worried face of the young man appeared.

"What happened? Why are you here at the hotel? Where is Thunder?" He asked her immediately

"You're not in a hurry, are you? Sit down first and I'll get you something to eat." she said laughing

"Nah ah! I'm still full. So, what's up?" Cain said.

Jewel took a deep breath before sitting next to him, she didn't know how to tell Cain everything especially they are best friends, she didn't want the two of them to have a misunderstanding because of her, but she didn't have any choice, he knew that only Cain can help her.

I started to tell him the whole story that happened between me and Thunder. Throughout my speech he was just listening and not speaking so I didn’t know what was running in his mind.

"That bastard! I'm gonna kill him even if he's my best friend!" I was shocked when he suddenly shouted in anger

After a second he stood up. I immediately grab his hands to make him stop, because it looks like he's really serious about what he is saying. "Where are you going?" I ask

"I'm going to face that jerk!" he said in a serious voice

I immediately shook my head. "Don't, please Cain."

"What's the matter, Jewel? Do you understand what you're saying? Thunder has done too much to you, yes he's my best friend but I can't tolerate his attitude and what he did to you. Don't be stupid!"

"He's still my husband Cain! And I love him." I defended

"That's bullshit! You love him but does he love you? Look at yourself Jewel, you're better than this. Wake up! There's no cure for stupidity. Help yourself before it breaks down." i feel that he's trying to holding back to what her wants to say based on its clenched hand

I was silent at what he said, no one wanted words to come out of my mouth. I just cried, he immediately joined me and hugged me.

During the past few days, Jewel went through so much suffering, she could not sleep at night because she kept dreaming about what her husband did to her, it had a severe effect on her. It is often stupid or deep -thinking. She's been suffering from depression and trauma.

When I had sorted out all the sweets I had brought, I walked to the living room and went to sleep there. I was only a few steps away when I heard a shout coming from his room, I ran to her as fast as I could.

I quickly opened the door and I saw her screaming as if she was begging, her eyes were also full of tears. I immediately approached her and hugged her to calm down, at first she struggled as if terrified to be touched.

"Hey, Jewel calm down. It's me Cain." I speak calmly

But she seemed to hear nothing and still continued to struggle with my grip. I could feel the fear and trembling all over her body. I can't blame her, from what she experienced at the hands of Thunder knowing that wasn't easy.

I hugged her tightly again, it was good that she calmed down but continued to sob. "Cain, he might see me! He'll hurt me again, he'll do that to me again." she said sobbing as it clings to me

I immediately stroked the strand of her hair. "No one can hurt you, especially him. I'm just here, I'll watch over you. He can't touch you." i assure to her

I don't know how many minutes we were in that position realizing if my shoulder seemed to be getting heavier and when I looked at it she was already asleep.
