Unwanted Wife novel Chapter 11

The next day Jewel woke up with crapulence. She sat on her bed reminiscing about everything that happened last night that she waited for her husband to return home but turns out he didn't show up.

Even having sobriety she manages to take a shower to lessen the pain she's feeling.

She stared at her reflection in the mirror and forlorn about it, she did change a lot. She was once a classy woman, well-groomed, fair skin, elegant and no trace of bruises antithetical to a mess and a total trash Jewel she was now.

"It's time to fix myself, bring back the Jewel once they know the real Jewel" She said with perseverance looking at herself in the mirror.

After taking shower she walked to her closet and chose to wear a simple dress, 4 inches heels, put a clip on her long and straight hair and simple makeup to fit on her outfit. She even used her violet sling bag that made everything suit perfectly.

She's about to go when her phone rings.

She took her phone in her bag and looked at who was calling.

CAIN CALLING ....

Hello, Cain you called?

Where are you? Can we meet?

I'm on my way to the mall. Let's meet at the starbucks.

I put back my phone in my bag as the call ended. Cain is one of my close friends and also my husband's friend.

She was ready to go when a taxi passed by . It's her lucky day. It's so rare that a taxi would go by in their area if the taxi didn't come on time, maybe she'll probably walk their subdivision. She's too lazy to use her car so she decided to commute.

While she is in the cab she's having a hard time pondering if she'll text or call her husband that she is going somewhere but at the end she chose not to as she remembers that he didn't even care about her.

It was past 2 o'clock as she arrived at the mall. She directly goes to Starbucks, the meeting place they chose to meet with his friend.

As she set foot in the Starbucks she decried him waving at her. She sauter near him. Cain gave her a kiss on the cheeks as she reached their table.

They sat down and took their order. While waiting for their food his friend gave her something.

"Belated Happy Birthday Jewel!" He greeted and handed over the gift.

She was astounded "Thank you Cain! You're the best. I was sad considering that you forgot about it." I pout.

"You're crazy , Forgetting your special day won't happen. How's you birthday celebration yesterday?" He asked.

Jewel's smile vanished and made his friend look at her acutely when he heed her reaction.

She knows what her friends are trying to say but for her, she's willing to endure her husband's cruelty because she loves him and she's still hoping that one of these days he'd change.

I'm a halfwit to bide on my husband's side even though he's hurting me. I'm just in love and there's nothing wrong with falling in love.

"Give yourself a break Jewel, rest the whole you.Since you get married I haven't seen your genuine smile again. Although you are smiling I know it's a sham. Don't force yourself to smile if you are going to pretend that you are happy you're fooling everyone, including yourself. You can't bear to leave him and scared to lose him? Have you ever asked him once if he's also scared and afraid to lose you?" He added

She wants to answer him but she can't find the words to utter. It seems something is scratching her to speak.

She weed and Caid instantly solace her " Don't cry you are beautiful to cry. It's not my intention to hurt you, instead I gave a word for you to think." He said and wiped her tears.

They continue their food and small talk. They stayed there for almost two hours before roaming around the mall.

It was five in the afternoon when they decided to go. Cain insisted on taking her home but she declined. She doesn't want to disturb him that much.

Cain stays beside her while waiting for a cab. "Ahm Cain, thank you for this day.I enjoyed it."

" Its nothing, I told you don't hesitate to call me if you need someone to talk."- He said

A minute later a cab stopped in front of them. She gave Cain a hug and kiss on a cheek before getting inside the cab.
