Dixon was shocked by Victor's look. He did not expect to see such a harsh expression on Victor's face. And after a while, he looked around. While driving, he said quietly, "You should not say such things to others. It will cause a lot of trouble."
Victor understood what Dixon meant. He lowered his head with a thoughtful look, "I think someone has hidden them. They deliberately made such a shocking case... But what they wanted was to create a sensation and attract the attention of certain people."
Victor's idea made Dixon feel frightened. They stopped in front of a fancy restaurant. After they entered a private room, Dixon let go of Victor's hand and let him sit across from him. He looked at Victor with a deep look, "Finish what you were going to say."
The waiters served exquisite dishes one after another. Victor said, "Don't order too much. We can't finish too much."
"Then pack them for your mother."
Dixon wanted to smoke. But since Victor was here, he held back. Then he raised his hand to express that the food was enough, and the waiters should not come in for now. The few waiters nodded at the door and closed the door to wait outside.
The door was closed. Dixon passed a plate of steak to Victor, "How did you deduce this result?"
"I think they're going after Mahoney and his followers."
While eating the dish Dixon passed to him, Victor whispered, "Because this kind of case would only draw the attention of the authorities, like central government, like Uncle Jarvis, Uncle Mahoney."
Jarvis.
Dixon squinted and thought of something that Jarvis' company had encountered recently. Those conflicts just happened to unite Victor's suspicions.
"They're doing this thing on purpose to lure them out..."
Although Victor's voice was young, his words carried a sense of reason that made adults feel impressed. Dixon even felt that Victor was already better than him in some areas.
He could have almost omniscient wisdom at such a young age. When he grew up, he was likely to have some bad signs.
Dixon's face instantly fell. "How does your mother feel about this?"
"My mother doesn't know anything about it." Victor shook his head, "Maybe everyone just thought that it was a natural or man-made disaster. The plane crashed and disappeared. The whereabouts of all the loved ones were nowhere to be found. Because no one could answer. Even the fierce questioning of the masses would eventually be drowned by the sea."
He had gotten the core of many things.
Dixon frowned and followed Victor's words, "So what you're saying is, in fact, the plane didn't crash or disappear at all. And according to this conclusion, the people on that plane were safe. People who planned this hid them and didn't want them to be found. Is that right?"
"Right."
Victor was a little surprised, "I thought you would think I was being paranoid. But you were able to accept my conjecture."
"All conjectures have a reason worth following." Dixon looked at the child who was uncannily similar to himself. "So, a really smart person will not let go of some whimsical-sounding statements. More or less, in some ways, genius is no different from madness."
Dixon smiled and poured Victor a glass of orange juice, "Although this is impossible to achieve in the current technology, we can not deny that there won't be the technology they need to make time travel happen."
"Then, I think that will be very scary."
Victor looked straight into Dixon's eyes and said, "Then there will be a heavy paradox under time travel."
"You actually know the word paradox."
Dixon smiled and narrowed his eyes, "In fact, I prefer that such a circumstance is impossible. Yet some people know that it is impossible and still want to do it..."
The time travel experiment was currently impossible. However, these people knew this reality, but still wanted to try this. The people behind this experiment did it even if it would cost the lives of so many people and turn the whole society upside down. What kind of obsession did this person or this group of people have?
Or... Whom did he or they want to save by creating an impossibility?
"The obsession must be a demon."
Victor murmured, "We've been battling for so long with this demon. Finally, it is about to come to the light... All the clues are connected."
This demon had used every one, Floyd, Maria, and so many other people. They were all pawns. This demon was seeking a chance to return to the past. But for whom?
