Sonia smiled faintly, "I can't afford to be complimented like that. I'm just an ordinary person."
Floyd shook his head, "In fact, I would like you to come to work in my company. As far as I know, you are idle for now, am I right?"
It is true that Sonia was idle. But she had never been so poor as to have to contend with men for money. And she wouldn't do anything she didn't like just because of money. Her savings were enough to raise Victor in a well-to-do way.
"Just forget it. It's an honor to be an ambassador for your company. Actually, I didn't want to show up. But since you've invited me, I'd better take the title." Sonia blinked, "It's also a kind of recognition for me."
"You've really changed."
Floyd said gently, "I really miss that stubborn look you used to have. The expression of holding back all the pain and not saying anything."
But now Sonia's face was still indifferent. But it was a calm indifference.
"Well, what's done is done." Sonia thought of Dixon nowadays and wondered, ‘He has changed now too, hasn't he?'
The heart was too easily changed to stand the test of time in most cases.
Floyd took a look at Sonia curiously, "By the way, I wonder if you and Dixon are still in touch?"
Sonia did not evade this question, "Yeah. A couple of days ago."
"I've been in touch with him." Floyd looked around, "But he doesn't know it was my idea to ask you to be an ambassador. If he did, he probably wouldn't be friends with me anymore."
It seemed that she wasn't afraid of being seen through. Even if she still had feelings for Dixon now, she didn't feel ashamed. She has learned to be sensible. Then, love was nothing.
Her life was precious. Her love was more precious. But both could be given up for her freedom.
Floyd thought for a second and said, "Well, I'll give you a contract later. We'll look at other terms and conditions. And then I'll take you to dinner and a movie if we finish early?"
Sonia laughed but refused, "We're not that close yet, are we?" They had just met a few times in some nightclubs. There was no need for them to hang out like good friends as soon as they met again.
"Take your time." Floyd didn't feel embarrassed by the rejection. Still smiling, he made up his mind, "You're free anyway, aren't you?"
