Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 2126

"Looks like he recognizes no one but you," Germaine remarked, giving Abigail a knowing look.

Abigail glanced at Taylor, a trace of sadness in her eyes. "It would have been better if this had happened sooner, but it's too late now."

"So, what's your plan?" Germaine asked.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm talking about the relationship between you two. Are you really going to keep up this cold war once Taylor recovers?"

Before leaving, Jenson couldn't shake his concern for Taylor's love life.

Meanwhile, Helen and Chandler were even more deeply invested in both Taylor and Abigail. They could never stand idly by and watch their relationship fall apart without stepping in.

With them absent, it was up to Germaine to play the role of mediator.

"It's not a cold war. We've already broken up," Abigail said, her expression solemn.

"Did Taylor agree to that?"

"No."

"Then your decision alone doesn't count," Germaine pointed out. "Relationships are between two people. They begin that way, and they should end that way."

"If the relationship is already broken, do we still need to follow the rules?" Abigail replied, resolute in her stance.

"If I'm not mistaken, Taylor went through something similar to what Jenson experienced that day at the resort. Under the influence of drugs, he did something he shouldn't have, right?"

Noticing the sudden silence, Abigail realized her tone had been a bit harsh. "Sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you."

"It's fine," Germaine replied, gently placing her hand over Abigail's. "Honestly, I'm just relieved that you've made a clear decision."

"Why? Didn't you come here to mediate for Taylor?"

Abigail felt a wave of warmth flooded her chest. "Thank you."

"Enough about that." Germaine averted her gaze, her expression shifting to concern. "I just don't know when Taylor will get better."

Before Abigail could respond, a well-dressed middle-aged couple hurried into the room, with James close behind them.
