Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1930

"Taylor, you're always busy running around, neglecting Abigail. You're too focused on your career—be careful, or you might end up without a wife." Helen teased Taylor.

Kingsley smirked. "They are very affectionate, Mrs. Newton. You're just overthinking."

"How can you tell?" she asked, puzzled.

"Ms. Fitzgerald's complexion…" He dragged out the last word, hinting with a half-smile. "She's looking quite… nourished."

Abigail gritted her teeth. "Scoundrel, keep looking; I'll poke your eyes out!"

Intimate matters of a couple shouldn't be joked about by outsiders.

"You don't have the ability to do that yet, Ms. Fitzgerald," he replied nonchalantly.

"If it weren't for the drugs you used last time, you'd already be a cripple!" Her eyes flashed coldly.

"Unfortunately, there are no 'ifs' in this world."

"It's not too late to do something about it now!"

The tension between them escalated instantly.

Seeing the situation, Taylor grabbed Kingsley and started walking out. "Hey, Dr. Godfrey. I'm running out of time. Let's hurry up and go!"

Caught between Abigail and Kingsley, he knew he was bound to take the blame either way, so leaving was the best option.

"Taylor Xander!" Abigail saw right through him and stomped her foot, making the floor shake.

"Okay. I hear you, honey." Taylor pretended not to understand her hint. "I'll pick you up tonight. Bye! Love you!"

He quickened his pace, pushing Kingsley out the door.

Helen, recalling Abigail's previous actions, grew more suspicious. "You're acting really strange. What exactly did Kingsley do to you?"

She answered, holding the phone to her ear. "What's up?"

"Those two magic show tickets you took yesterday—you haven't used them, right?" Chandler asked.

"I was planning to go with Abigail. Is something wrong?" She glanced at Abigail.

"One of my men watching Colin said he is heading toward the stadium. I remember the venue for the magic show this afternoon is there, so those tickets probably aren't a coincidence. I'm worried he set a trap; you shouldn't go."

She had other thoughts. "If he really wanted to do something to me, he had the perfect opportunity at the café last time, but he did nothing. This shows he doesn't plan to harm me.

"He's gone through all this trouble setting up the stage—I should at least see what kind of show he's putting on, or it'll be rude."

"That may be true, but it's better to be safe than sorry." Chandler still had his concerns.

"Don't worry. James and Reggie are with me, and Abigail is here too. I'll be fine."
