Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1883

"Good job, Linc!" Helen caught the USB drive and kissed Lincoln on the cheek.

Lincoln immediately wiped his cheek with a disgusted look. "Mommy, if you want me to do this again, it's going to cost you."

Since discovering that the last task had been a competition between Helen and an outsider, Lincoln had been complaining about being tricked.

"But we're mother and son, aren't we? Don't you think asking for money is a bit too mercenary?" Helen replied, refusing to pay.

"Why don't you ask Daddy to pay?" Lincoln retorted, trying to get Chandler to foot the bill. He pouted, looking pitiful. "My experiments are expensive. Besides, Uncle Cameron's still in Krovia, right?

"If my medicine works, it could stimulate his nerves and wake him up. If I succeed, we won't have to worry about losing BJ Group as a partner. I'm doing this for the family."

Lincoln was putting in a great deal of effort, all in the pursuit of earning a bit of extra pocket money.

Helen gave a slight nod at his words. Cameron had been in a coma for seven years. While his organs could be repaired, they wouldn't withstand repeated strain. If he didn't wake up soon, it would be too late to save him.

"Alright, your dad's pocket money for the next six months is all yours," Helen said with a smile.

"How much?" Lincoln asked, his eyes lighting up.

"About ten million, give or take," Helen replied.

"What? Is that all? Daddy's so poor," Lincoln said with a disappointed click of his tongue.

"Does no one care to ask my opinion on this?" Chandler interrupted, unable to resist chiming in.

"If you think it's too little, go earn your own," Helen said, happy to be off the hook.

"Tightening your belt is exactly what you need!" Helen teased, pretending to be stern.

Recently, Chandler had been craving more attention, and Helen was starting to feel overwhelmed. At 30, Chandler seemed to have more energy than ever before. Each time, Helen had to beg him to stop, and it felt like an eternity before he finally gave in.

"Are you sure tightening it will bring you bliss?" Chandler raised an eyebrow, teasing her shamelessly.

"Oh my god!" Lincoln exclaimed, covering his face. "Mr. and Mrs. Newton, please have mercy on a poor, lonely single guy like me!"

The couple laughed.

Early in the morning, Aiden was summoned to the study by Dominic. Standing in the middle of the room, he kept his head bowed slightly, emanating a sense of humility.
