Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1579

Just then, Graham approached Chandler, whispering, "Sir, should we proceed with the plan to destroy the stolen goods?"

Destiny Corporation had initially planned to unload a shipment at the dock, but after Abigail's tip-off, they changed the location at the last minute.

However, this shipment wasn't even Destiny Corporation's to begin with; they had seized it to prevent it from reaching the market.

"Alright," Chandler replied nonchalantly, his gaze tracking Abigail as she walked away, a cold glimmer flashing in his eyes.

Meanwhile, Abigail was about to catch up with Gideon when her phone rang. It was Taylor.

She paused and pressed the phone to her ear. "What's going on?"

"I heard you and Gideon put a hit out on Chandler. Is that true?" Taylor asked, his tone accusatory.

"Yes," Abigail replied firmly.

"Don't you think that's a bit extreme? Do you really think the boss will be happy about this?" Taylor asked, his disappointment evident.

"What exactly are you trying to say?" Abigail shot back defiantly.

"So, you've decided to team up with Gideon and chase after news stories, have you?" Taylor pressed.

Abigail glanced at Gideon's retreating figure. After a moment's hesitation, she nodded earnestly. "Yes."

"Fine then. If that's your choice, I have nothing more to say. I wish you both the best as a couple of happy adventurers!"

With that, Taylor hung up.

"What's her deal?" she muttered in frustration. "Who does she think she is, telling me what to do?"

But then she reconsidered; the fourth floor was just a short flight up, and it wouldn't be hard to lure "Kaylee" up there. With that in mind, she composed herself and headed upstairs.

Beyond the main performance area, the other rooms in the concert hall were designated as rehearsal spaces.

These rooms were typically used by performers for warm-ups before taking the stage, resulting in several rehearsal rooms throughout the venue.

Katie searched three rooms in a row without locating Helen. By the time she stepped into the fourth room, her patience had completely worn thin.

She paused by the piano, preparing to call Helen and demand an explanation.

Suddenly, the room's sound system sprang to life, filling the air with a beautiful melody. The enchanting notes seemed to soothe her restless spirit, bringing an unexpected calm to Katie's racing heart.
