Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1528

Claude nodded, a mix of concern and frustration on his face. "Three years ago, Jason tricked you into skiing on the frozen moat. Your uncle heard about it and rushed to stop you, but the ice gave way, and he fell into the icy waters.

"It took over an hour to rescue him, and he was left with a permanent knee injury. Now, whenever it rains or gets cloudy, he suffers excruciating pain."

After hearing this, Helen was engulfed in a storm of emotions. Kaylee had always been so rebellious, and now Helen felt the heavy burden of her circumstances. By taking on Kaylee's identity, she realized that the debts left in Kaylee's wake were now hers to shoulder.

Just as she was about to ask Betsy to prepare the silver needles, Betsy arrived with the family doctor in tow. Helen stepped aside, watching closely as the doctor examined Niall's injury.

The best approach for necrotic tissue often leaned toward alternative medicine, but the doctor merely glanced at the injury before reaching for a syringe.

"His condition has worsened since our last appointment," he said, preparing to administer an injection. "I'll use some imported medication to enhance the sedation. This should significantly prolong its effects."

Claude nodded in agreement, clearly placing his trust in the doctor.

"Excuse me," Helen interrupted, unable to remain silent. "I don't mean to interfere, but isn't it a bit hasty to administer medication without a thorough examination?"

The doctor shot her an irritated glance, but out of respect for the Haywell family, he kept his composure. "It's my duty as a doctor to treat and save lives. Each profession has its own expertise.

"While I understand you may not be fully informed about the situation, that doesn't give you the right to question a physician with years of experience."

"I'm not trying to offend you," Helen said sincerely. "But my uncle's leg injury is due to frostbite, not an incurable disease. It's been three long years. Why haven't you treated him and allowed him to suffer for so long?"

"What do you mean? If it were treatable, wouldn't I have done something? You're questioning my integrity!" the doctor shot back, his face flushed with indignation.

"I'm not here to question your integrity; I'm just worried that the longer this drags on, the higher the risk my uncle will lose his leg. Please give me his previous medical records—I need to reassess his condition," Helen said, her expression firm as she extended her hand.

Helen felt a surge of surprise; despite being a relatively unknown figure in the web fiction scene, Taylor had managed to cast Tyrone as the male lead.

"Ms. Terzian, I'm looking forward to working with you," Tyrone said.

Helen nodded in acknowledgment before making her way over to the female lead.

"Everyone, please pause for a moment! I'd like you to meet our original author, Ms. Kaylee Terzian," the director announced, putting her in the spotlight.

The makeup crew turned to greet her in unison. "Hello, Ms. Terzian!"

"Hello, everyone!"
