Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1468

Miguel frowned, straining against Taylor's grip, but Taylor held firm, making Miguel feel weak under the pressure.

Old grudges bubbled to the surface as Taylor's gaze turned icy. "Hey, Lopez, if I remember correctly, you still owe me a naked run. Isn't it time to settle that debt tonight?"

"Go to hell!" Miguel shouted, swinging a fist at Taylor, only to have it intercepted once more.

"Gentlemen, please, let's calm down!" The party host rushed over, sensing the escalating tension. "For my sake, let's take a step back!"

Taylor, known for his easygoing nature, reluctantly released Miguel's wrist.

But the tension lingered, their eyes locked in a silent standoff that left the host increasingly anxious.

After a moment's consideration, he suggested a way to redirect their attention. "Since neither of you is willing to back down, why not settle this at the upcoming ballroom dance? That way, you can avoid a physical confrontation and give your dates a chance to shine."

"I don't mind," Taylor said, casually slipping his hands into his pockets and turning away. "It's just another chance to win."

"Bullshit," Miguel snapped, jabbing a finger at Taylor in frustration. "My ballroom dancing has won awards! Do you honestly think you can beat me? Dream on!"

"Anyone can talk a big game," Abigail chimed in, deliberately stirring the pot. "It's only in competition that you'll see who really has what it takes."

"Fine, let's do it! If you lose, you can't mention that naked run ever again!" Miguel said, his excitement unmistakable.

"And if we win?" Abigail asked, her tone nonchalant.

"What do you have in mind?"

"What does family status even matter? Do any of us truly lack money? Finding a partner is all about chemistry. If Chandler were willing to marry into my family, I'd take that chance in a heartbeat!"

"Line up, ladies! A man like Chandler is a rare find—even if he's divorced, he's not someone we can easily win over. Let's hold onto our hopes and observe from a distance."

"When did he get divorced? I had no idea!"

"You really should stay updated on the news. During the Newtons' livestream, the production team accidentally left the cameras rolling, and someone from the family let it slip."

"If that's true, even better! Married men hardly resist temptation, do they? If you all stay too timid, you'll end up as old maids. I'm going to make my move!" one of the socialite declared, adjusting her outfit.

With that, she raised her champagne glass and made her way toward Chandler.
