Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1466

After a moment, Helen seemed to sense Vincent's presence and looked up, meeting his curious gaze.

Upon seeing him, she instinctively frowned. Setting down the dishes, she approached him and said, "What are you doing here? I've already got the divorce agreement; there's no need to rush. I'm cooking another meal for Chandler, so please wait outside."

"I just saved three lives in your family. Don't I deserve a taste of your homemade cooking?" Vincent replied with a wry smile, clearly unwilling to leave.

He added, "Besides, if I explain the situation to the Newtons, they won't criticize you for leaving; they'll actually think highly of you. I'm just looking out for your reputation."

"If you're so concerned about me, then remove the three-month trip," Helen shot back, cutting through his pretense.

"Now that's not going to work," Vincent replied, scratching his brow with a sly grin. "Even the best of us need a little support. If I keep facing losses like this, I won't be able to be your savior anymore. Helen, you can't just turn your back on me."

Helen shot him an exasperated look and grabbed his arm, trying to pull him outside. "I don't want them to know about this. You need to leave, now."

"Wait a second." A weak voice suddenly called down from upstairs, prompting both Helen and Vincent to turn. Supported by Adrian, Chandler stood halfway down the staircase.

"Helly," he said gently, his eyes filled with affection. "Where are you going?"

"I have some things to take care of," Helen replied, opting for honesty; it was better to be direct.

"How long will you be gone?" Chandler asked.

"Three months."

"I'll go with you," he said, taking a step down the stairs.

Helen smiled through her tears, her gaze filled with both affection and sorrow. Nevertheless, she quickly gathered herself, turning away and walking out with resolve.

She couldn't stay; every moment she lingered made it harder to go.

Vincent followed closely behind as they exited Newton Residence.

Just as they stepped outside, Chandler suddenly lost his balance and fell forward.

"Chandler!" Adrian shouted, rushing to catch him.

Despite Adrian's efforts, he was a moment too late. Chandler hit the floor hard, and as he was pulled back up, he quickly slipped into unconsciousness.
