Helen found a chair and sat down beside the bed. She reached out to hold Cameron's thin hand, a momentary flash of pain flickered in her eyes.
Cameron was still young, and he should be enjoying his youth, yet he spent half of it lying in the hospital. It was truly a pity.
She had already invited Shawn to come back to perform surgery on Cameron, but she had yet to receive his response. She decided to wait for some time, and if Shawn refused, she would have to resort to some drastic measures.
Someone knocked on the door. "It's just me, come in." Helen thought it was Rainey.
"So this is my brother-in-law; he is indeed good looking." As a man's voice rang out, Helen realized that she had mistaken him as Rainey. She turned and saw Vincent, with Maddox following behind him.
"Such an outstanding person should be out conquering the world, not lying here. What a pity." Vincent put on a pitiful look.
"What are you trying to say?" Helen got up vigilantly. "Maurice is in charge of the Boston family now. You should get the thing you want from him."
"Do you think Maurice could be the family head without the acknowledgement of the Whitlock family?" Vincent said with a grin.
"That's your issue with him, and it has nothing to do with me. The Whitlock family can take back everything they gave to the Boston family. As for other things, I can't and won't provide." Helen was firm with her stance.
"Look at you, always so resistant to me." Vincent pretended to be hurt. "I brought medicine for my brother-in-law. Do you really want to drive me out?"
"Why should I believe you?" Helen squinted her eyes.
"There's no reason, but if you think about it, you'll understand. The Boston family is the largest pharmaceutical family in Grand Cathay, and the Whitlock family alone can support it.
"This proves that we are a significant presence in the pharmaceutical industry." Vincent had his hands behind his back, appearing confident.
Vincent's eyes darkened for a moment, and then he turned to Helen with a playful grin. "Helen, how about I avenge you by removing Mike from the position of the head of the black market?"
"What you want to do has nothing to do with me." Helen had no intention to deal with Mike.
"Then let's talk about something related to you." Vincent changed the subject. "I'll get the person and medicines that can cure your brother, and you'll have a meal with me. How about that?"
Helen scoffed, "So what if you can get the person? I can't possibly force him to the operating table if he refuses to help."
"I have my own way," Vincent said with a half-smile. "It's up to you whether you dare to believe me or not."
Helen lowered her eyes in silence, as if contemplating the credibility of his words.
