Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1436

A faint, almost imperceptible smile crept onto Zac's face. "It seems you've changed quite a bit."

"If you had witnessed your beloved father burned alive in a fire, you'd change too," Fiona replied, her expression devoid of warmth.

The old Fiona had perished alongside Johnny in that inferno. Now, her sole purpose was to exact vengeance for him. She was determined to make Helen and Chandler feel the same agony she had endured.

A spark of interest ignited in Zac's eyes as he extended his hand again. "I look forward to our collaboration."

He saw the same deep-seated hatred and anger in Fiona's gaze—an intensity that could never be diverted or diminished. It was a rage strong enough to cause real destruction.

Now that he was back, Zac was set on making Chandler's life and his family's existence a living nightmare.

In the tranquil studio, silence enveloped everything; even the gentle rustle of leaves swaying in the breeze outside was distinctly audible.

Gloria was diligently working on an embroidery depicting mountains under a bright moon. Suddenly, her hands froze as her mind began to wander.

From behind the room divider, the woman sensed her distraction and slowly stood up, her tone calm yet firm. "It's only been two hours. Can't you stay focused?"

Her words jolted Gloria back to the present. She quickly stood and bowed in apology. "I'm sorry, miss."

"Now, tell me—what's been on your mind?" the woman asked impassively.

"Lately, there's been a serious shortage of silk thread for the students, and I can't find any available online or in physical stores. I'm really worried that on the day of the competition, we might not have any thread to work with," Gloria said, her voice tinged with concern.

"I understand. I'll take care of the silk thread issue. Just focus on your practice, okay?" the woman replied.

"Yes, miss. I'll give it my all," Gloria promised earnestly.

Just as she finished speaking, the woman behind the divider slowly stepped into view.

Gloria was taken aback for a moment, unsure of how to respond. To her surprise, her mentor was none other than the acclaimed actress Arabella Beaumont.

She handed it to Gloria and said, "This was given to me by my mentor, and now I'm passing it on to you. Time is limited, and there's only so much you can learn from me alone. How much you absorb will depend on your own understanding."

"Thank you, Ms. Beaumont. I'll study hard," Gloria said, genuinely appreciative.

Arabella nodded in response. "Let's go get something to eat."

Gloria carefully tucked the book away, and they walked toward the curb, preparing to cross the street.

Just as they reached the middle of the road, a car suddenly sped out from a nearby alley, barreling straight toward them.

Arabella reacted instantly, pushing Gloria to the ground to shield her.

As they scrambled back to their feet, several figures emerged from the car, surrounding them.

"You're Arabella Beaumont, aren't you? Where's the manual for Grand Cathay's embroidery? Give it to me now!"
