Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1428

"Thank you, Helen," Adrian said, shamelessly hugging the massive bowl and digging in.

Jenson threw him a scornful glance as he grabbed his bowl and scooped up a generous spoonful of ravioli.

As the rich flavors danced on his palate, his eyes widened in disbelief. He glared at Adrian, rolling his eyes dramatically while mentally cursing him.

"This little brat! How could he keep such a delicious breakfast a secret from me? Just you wait, Adrian—if you even manage to snag a single bite of tomorrow's breakfast, I won't let myself off the hook!"

From a distance, Priscilla noticed Jenson and Adrian eagerly devouring their food. As soon as she sat down, she began critiquing Helen, "You really should keep breakfast simpler. Just look at how they're eating—it's not a healthy habit!"

Helen sighed, her expression weary. "This is already the simplest breakfast I could come up with."

That was true; the ravioli filling had been prepared the night before. All she had to do was wrap it up and drop it in the pot—nothing could be easier.

Priscilla, however, remained dissatisfied. "You should really listen to me. Don't you understand the importance of respecting your elders?"

Before Helen could respond, Jenson jumped in. "Mom, can we skip the nagging this morning? I'd really just like to eat in peace."

He couldn't afford for Helen to stop making breakfast over all this fuss—where would he go to vent his frustrations?

Priscilla smacked her lips, a hint of annoyance creeping in. With a teasing smile, she decided to poke at him. "I haven't even asked yet—why didn't you come home that night?"

Jenson's expression froze, and he quickly looked down, pretending to be confused. "What night? I don't remember—"

"It was just a couple of days ago," Priscilla pressed, narrowing her eyes at him. "You'd better come clean—were you sneaking around behind my back?"

"Good," Louis said with a nod. A thought suddenly popped into his head, and he turned to Jenson, casually adding, "Just one thing—make sure to consider safety in that area."

"Which area?" Jenson blurted out, only realizing what Louis meant a moment later. His face turned bright red, and he quickly stood up. "I'm full now; I have to get to the office. See you later!"

With that, he rushed out the door in a flash.

Just as Jenson left, Ursula came downstairs for breakfast.

Priscilla cheerfully pulled out a chair next to her. "Come on, Ursula, sit here!"

"Thanks, Madam Newton," Ursula replied with a smile as she settled into her seat.
