Unmasking Mrs. Newton's Secret Identities novel Chapter 1399

Looking at the photos of the missing people on the screen, Helen frowned and turned to look at Chandler solemnly.

The student named Rowan hated to be under the sun and getting sweaty, yet he went to the forest after listening to her advice. She had never expected that her well-meaning words would harm six students.

Why were these people so simple-minded?

Before she could say anything, Chandler embraced her and said, "I know; I'll find them with you."

Destiny Corporation acted quickly, and its rescue team was readily available. They gathered and set off for the entrance of Whispering Woods.

But upon arrival, the entrance had been sealed, with a large number of police and the families of the missing people standing outside. The cries and sirens added a touch of eeriness to the originally dark forest.

Helen got out of the car and went over with Chandler to negotiate, hoping to collaborate with the police for a joint rescue. However, the police no longer allowed the crowd to enter under the great pressure of public criticism.

Just when they thought they would return empty-handed, several police cars arrived. As the car door opened, Helen saw Sebastian stepping out and instantly became hopeful.

She walked toward Sebastian. "Mr. Puckett."

"Helen? Why are you here?" Sebastian was genuinely taken aback.

"I know one of the students. Can you ask them to let us in for the rescue?" Helen pleaded.

"If you don't ask them to make way for me, I'll find my own way. Don't regret it if I get hurt or encounter any poisonous snakes or dangerous beasts," Helen interrupted them.

"You're at it again. Can't you stay put and make me live at ease?" Sebastian was so frustrated that his head hurt.

"It doesn't matter as long as the trick works. So are you going to make way for me or not?" Helen appeared determined.

Sebastian looked her in the eyes and gave in with a sigh in the end. "I'll tell them to make way on your behalf."

After a pause, he reminded sternly, "Even though you're in to save the missing people; if you can't find them, you must not persist blindly and hurt yourself. Just do your best, do you understand?"
