"Who are you calling a bitch? Did you stuff your mouth with shit or something? It smells terrible!" Scarlett shot back, her earlier remorse vanishing. She grabbed Kiara's hair and pulled her head down.
The fighting spirit of a woman with a doctoral degree was no joke; after just a few hits, Kiara began to feel dizzy.
"I'm asking you! Do you give up?" Scarlett demanded.
"Submit to a housekeeper like you? Not a chance!" Kiara retorted, shaking off the dizziness. Taking advantage of Scarlett's distraction, she yanked her head down and bit her ear.
"Ouch! That hurts! Let go, you little mutt!" Scarlett shrieked.
The louder Scarlett yelled, the more exhilarated Kiara became, biting down even harder. With no choice left, Scarlett gritted her teeth and tugged at Kiara's hair.
The living room erupted with cries and chaos.
As the housekeeper walked past with a bowl of milk and cereal, she couldn't help but shudder at the sight.
"Mrs. Newton," she said, placing the bowl in front of Helen. "The cereal is ready."
Helen picked it up, stirring as she added fuel to the fire. "Hey Kiara, why are you complicating things for yourself? My mother-in-law has chosen Ms. Baird, and you know how fiercely she protects her favorites.
"If you hurt her, who knows how my mother-in-law might retaliate? Sometimes it's wiser to endure a little discomfort for the sake of peace. A bit of patience can go a long way!"
The mention of Priscilla ignited a fire in Kiara.
Previously, Priscilla had gone to great lengths to create trouble for Helen on Kiara's behalf, but now all that favoritism seemed to have shifted to Scarlett.
Consumed by her resentment, Kiara felt a surge of adrenaline course through her veins, fueling her determination to fight back.
In a flash, she reversed the situation, pinning Scarlett down and unleashing a barrage of slaps.
"I'm done tolerating you! I'm taking you down, once and for all! Let's see how you deal with this!
As the lady of the house, Helen felt it was her responsibility to accompany them.
While Scarlett and Kiara were inside receiving treatment, Helen waited in the hallway. Suddenly, Chandler's call came through.
"Why aren't you home?" he asked.
"I'm at the hospital."
"The hospital? What happened? Which one?"
"Just the nearest one to our house. I didn't—"
She was met with the sound of the dial tone.
