The folks in New Albury recognized Helena Ross the moment she walked in. But seeing that neither the Hawkins nor the Spencer families said a word about it, everyone immediately understood that the Hawkinses didn’t want any old drama with the Rosses getting dragged back into the spotlight.
So, even though people clearly recognized Helena, not a single person went over to say hello.
Instead, a few people glanced over at Vesta and Jacques Hawkins. Right in front of Charlene Ross and Helena, someone turned to Katie Hawkins with a big, flattering grin and said, “Mrs. Hawkins, your grandkids—both of them—are just outstanding! Looks, brains, you name it. You sure hit the jackpot.”
Vesta and Jacques were, no question, the pride and joy of the Hawkins family.
Katie didn’t spare so much as a glance for Charlene.
Instead, she gazed at her grandchildren with nothing but affection and replied, laughing, “Oh, you’re too sweet—”
Charlene didn’t catch the rest. She and Helena had already slipped past the crowd, heading further into the reception.
As for Thorne Henderson, after catching a glimpse of him earlier, Charlene didn’t pay him any more attention.
Dalton Ramirez and Moran Albright hadn’t expected to run into Charlene here, of all places—and even more awkward, someone had mistaken her for Vesta. They watched her leave, unsure what to say.
Just then, Granger Harden’s secretary came over, carrying a gift box, and handed it to Katie.
When they learned Granger wouldn’t be able to make it to the birthday party in person, both the Hawkins and Spencer families looked a little deflated.
But, if anything, the Spencers seemed even more disappointed than the Hawkinses.
And not just disappointed—they were anxious too.
After all, Leah Spencer had gotten herself into trouble recently, and both Rhoda and Georgina Spencer were desperate for Leah and Granger to hit it off and pull the family out of its current rut.
So Granger’s absence today was a real blow.
Moran was genuinely surprised when he heard Granger couldn’t make it. As far as he knew, Granger didn’t have anything in particular going on today.
Vesta hadn’t expected Granger to skip out either. She frowned, clearly troubled.

The readers' comments on the novel: Unknown Divorce Revelation Beyond Time (Charlene and Thorne)
Enough already. This novel is dragging slowly. Updated with 2 chapters only. REALLY!!! Whoever the author or authors of this novel why is there a delay in penning more chapters? Here’s my question. In reading the comments from others does their opinions matters and/or make a difference? Are comments being monitored? Or is it only a tool allowing readers to blow off steam?...
Long wait to just get an upload of a couple of chapters. Very little progress in the story if any at all! For heaven's sake the story is 453 chapters so far with nothing or little change from where the story began! Show commitment to us your readers and followers please!...
Hi..its my 1st ever time commenting on any story. But seriously....i dont mean to come as rude but are u seriously thinking about the stroy or losing ur grip on the plot and characters...not updating...no story development...no commitment towards ur readers...u just uploaded 2 chapters after god know how long and still nothing to give to the story..if u dont want to write or simply cant then please dont...
The updates are so slow that I forgot the story for some time and just remembered it and read 20 chapters. The chapters are short and the story development is like a snail. 451 chapters and Charlene still couldn't break her image in other's eyes or dealth some serious damage to Vesta and her trash father....
It would be better to say right away that there are 10 chap/month...
Just give us updates already...
We're stuck at this chapter for over 2wks now Very annoying Thorne and vesta having the tune of their lives while Charlene is stuck More annoying...
Updating chapters to this novel is reminiscent of a sloth. There should be a disclaimer when this site states PUBLISH 10 chaps/day....
Seriously speaking story seems to loosing its grip.. no point in dragging.. it would be better if story gets wrapped within 600 chapters.....
Dragging and no real story. Mistress is having gala time and getting all attention and poor wife is getting neglected. The story is stuck and not moving...forget about the divorce let alone husband regretting. Boring book...
