"Who are…" Anthony was about to ask who these men were for daring to break into the Killian residence. However, when he noticed Astral Nova's logo with the winged dragon emblem on their armbands, he changed his tune. "How can we help you?"
"Please come with us to Astral Nova," the bodyguard in the lead said coldly. With a wave of his hand, the men behind him began to surround the two cars.
Anthony dared not to object. He once heard that things didn't end well for those who rejected going to Astral Nova or cooperating with them.
Anthony's mind raced quickly. Over the past few years, he had endured humiliation at the Killian residence without offending anyone from Astral Nova.
The only reason he could think of was that Rhett's connections at Astral Nova must have noticed what they were up to and wanted to offer some support.
Upon noticing the group of bodyguards in black, Frederick began to feel fearful and tremble all over. Back then, it was a group of bodyguards in black who had captured and tortured him. It was hard for him to handle meeting people in similar uniforms, so he forbade his own bodyguards from wearing black.
"Mr. Frederick, don't be scared. It must be the grandmaster, whom Mr. Rhett knows. He's here to invite us," Lexie said to Frederick comfortingly.
Ember once said that Rhett had connections with the grandmaster of Astral Nova. These people were very likely here to offer assistance.
Anthony became more confident in his theory after hearing Lexie say so. He also began to comfort Frederick by saying, "Mr. Frederick, these are Mr. Rhett's comrades, and they're here to help us. Everything will be fine. Let's go and have a look."
With that, Anthony happily led Frederick behind the bodyguards.
The leader of the bodyguards had worked for Astral Nova for more than ten years. Whenever he came out to capture these scoundrels, he would usually be met with their protests. It was his first time seeing such foolish people. They were all in a hurry to follow him.
She pinched her thigh to remind herself not to be scared. She then asked tentatively, "Yes. What's the issue?"
"Who was the money for? What was it used for?" the judge asked.
Lexie replied, "It was for my younger brother who wanted to build a house in the countryside. As his older sister, it's normal to help him out, right?"
The judge pressed a button on the table. The black curtains behind him drew open on their own, revealing a set of torture devices.
"I suggest you think about it before you answer my question again."
