Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 854

Lucius would invite Bernard to dinner from time to time, and he recently began to do so more often. Bernard knew what he was up to. Lucius was clearly trying to pressure him into getting married.

Bernard became slightly annoyed. "Got it."

Douglas parted his lips as if he were about to say something. In the end, he said nothing and left.

If it weren't for Hera's accident, she and Bernard would probably have children running around by now. Although she was back, he no longer remembered her. That was a problem.

In the office, Bernard reached for the necklace from the pocket of his suit jacket. The hollow heart-shaped necklace came in light gold, and the heart was decorated with small canary-yellow diamonds. The delicate necklace sparkled, making it look rather exquisite.

The tiny diamonds gleamed under the sunlight, matching the sparkle of the canary-yellow diamonds on his cufflinks. Hera had accidentally left the necklace behind on his bed that night.

Four days had passed, and she hadn't even shown up to look for it, making him somewhat upset. Could it be possible that she hadn't realized the necklace was missing?

At that moment, there was a knock on the office door. Bernard pressed the unlock button on the remote, and the door was pushed open from outside.

Hera, as cool and aloof as ever, appeared at the door.

Bernard couldn't hold back his joy at the sight of Hera's flawless beauty, causing his dissatisfaction from earlier to fade away completely. He knew that they would meet again. She would come looking for the necklace.

He shoved the necklace into his pants pocket before sitting down at his office desk with a blank expression. "You've arrived."

His two words made Hera pause. How did he know she would come looking for him?
