Why did Hera check out all of a sudden? Was she afraid? Did she run away? Bernard didn't know what he was feeling.
Douglas suddenly remembered that Hera used to stay in this room. Cautiously, he asked, "Do you want to look into her whereabouts?"
"No need." Bernard walked away. He had a feeling that they would meet again. Hera couldn't run away from him!
"Alright." Douglas followed Bernard, confused. He didn't know what feelings Bernard had for Hera.
…
Hera took the kids over to the Everett residence to stay for two days. On the third day, Dora kept saying that she wanted to return to Jedburgh. If they didn't return to Jedburgh, they couldn't start implementing their plan.
Isla and Sarah just happened to find a few places that were suitable for them to stay in. They called Hera to return to Jedburgh to have a look at them.
Lilith and the others were reluctant to let Hera leave. After all, they had been separated for five years and had finally reunited. Yet, they had to be separated again after two days.
Nevertheless, since Hera had something to do, they couldn't force her to stay behind. Since she was back, it would be easy to meet her again.
"Hera, I didn't buy anything for the kids. Here, take this card. If you need anything, use the card to buy it." Before leaving, Gideon pulled out a black card.
Hera looked at the three suitcases behind her. When she came here, she only had one suitcase. But now, there were two more. If she hadn't stopped them, they would've bought everything in the mall and given them to the kids.
"No need. I have money. I'll ask for it when I need it." Hera pushed the card back to Gideon. They had been keeping her annual dividends and profits from the company for her. She didn't refuse and accepted them all. The money was enough for her to spend for a while.
If she remembered her old bank account and password, she might be able to use her previous savings. Hence, she didn't need their money for the moment.
Upon seeing that Hera didn't want to accept the money, Gideon didn't push further. "Alright then. I'll have the driver send you all to Jedburgh. You can't refuse this."
