Back at the village entrance, although the call was cut short, Hera had already found the phone's location. She quickly checked the map and saw the signal was moving deeper into the mountains.
"Wayne, follow this red dot." She stepped out of the car and opened the map on the front passenger side for Wayne to see.
"Got it!" Wayne glanced at the map and immediately started the car.
Just then, Hera's phone chimed with a new message, "Come to Soul Cliff alone if you want to save her! You know what will happen if you call the cops!"
Hera opened the map on her phone and searched for Soul Cliff. It used to be a popular bungee jumping spot for adventurers. But after an accident, it was closed and abandoned.
She compared the direction of the signal on her laptop to Soul Cliff and realized there was a few miles' difference between them.
What kind of trap was Everly setting for her?
Hera shared the phone's location with Douglas, instructing him to lead a team to rescue Catherine. She would head to Soul Cliff to confront Everly and see what she was planning.
Douglas agreed, "Got it! I'll also send a team your way. Stay safe and keep in touch."
Hera replied, "Okay."
Hera hadn't originally planned to contact Douglas, but both Thiago and Nicholas had left the city on business, and Nathan was on a mission elsewhere. The only person left was Douglas, whom Bernard had assigned to her.
Sure enough, Bernard's overseas call came in shortly after her conversation with Douglas.
"Sweetie, where are you now? Are you okay?" Bernard asked worriedly.
Hera wasn't surprised by him getting word of the situation. "I'm fine. Just lend me your men. I can handle this."
