"Do you have a computer here?" Hera asked.
"Yes, of course!" Sonny quickly walked over to the desk and moved aside all the things that were cluttered on top of it so that only the computer was left.
He turned it on, and the screen flashed for a second.
Hera was a little speechless seeing the condition of the computer.
Jeremy hesitated a little. "Mr. Barr… "
That computer was specifically used to program the robot. No matter what, Hera was still a freshman even though she majored in AI.
Therefore, it wouldn't be appropriate for them to show her the codes just like that.
"It's fine. Hera's good at programming. Let her take a look at it. She might be able to help us," said Sonny.
There was nothing Jeremy could do. Sonny himself gave Hera the green light. Besides, they wouldn't have enough time to head to the venue to join the competition if they failed to find the source of the problem within an hour.
With no other choice now, they could only place their hopes on Hera. She sat on the chair before the computer and started typing away after opening the programming codes.
The other students gathered around her. They could see that her eyes were focused intently on the screen as the numbers, symbols, and letters popped up rapidly on the screen. All of them couldn't help but wonder if she could actually read the codes at that speed.
Soon, Hera discovered what was wrong with the codes. She stopped scrolling so that she could focus on a single code.
Then, she told them, "There's a bug in your main code. That's why the robot went out of control."
Sonny and the others leaned closer to look at the screen. Realization dawned on them when they finally realized that the problem was with that code.
With her right hand, Hera started typing away on the keyboard. Her fingers flew at such speed that the others didn't manage to see what she typed.
A moment later, the blaring of the robot's siren came to an abrupt stop. Silence returned to the air.
"That's it," said Hera, getting up from the chair. "Have a look, and tell me if there's any other problem."
The students turned to look each other in the eyes in utter disbelief. They had worked together to make the robot, yet they couldn't even compare to a freshman like Hera.
Words couldn't describe how thrilled Sonny was to be able to witness Hera at work. A moment later, he smacked a hand to his forehead and said, "Right! I forgot to tell you people that Hera is known as the hacker, Raven."
