Instead, Sandra heard Will give orders on the phone, "Freeze all his bank cards. Also, station our people at all airports, subways, train stations, bus stations, and highway entrances at Jedburgh and the outskirts. As soon as he's found, bring him back to me instantly."
Will refused to believe that Shaun could make a successful getaway.
Sandra was speechless. It was as if Shaun wasn't Will's biological son.
…
Samantha and Shaun spent three days at a small bed and breakfast. After reuniting following a five-year split, their passion for each other couldn't be extinguished at all. Thus, they had to make up for lost time by losing themselves in each other.
Once they had satiated themselves, they took out a world map and began to plan where to elope.
"Let's go to North Ridge at Nalva. It's also called The World's End." Samantha marked North Ridge, located on the northernmost side of Eutosia. She then found some photos of North Ridge and showed them to Shaun.
Shaun wrapped his arms around her waist while looking at the screen. "Sounds good. It's all up to you." He just wanted to be with her. It didn't matter where they were.
Since he had agreed, Samantha earnestly began to look up some strategies online. "Since you don't have any identification, we can only drive to Porclam. Then, I'll get someone to buy two cruise tickets for us. We'll take a cruise ship to Rusbak."
Samantha had sourced some strategies that matched their current situation.
After making some adjustments to their plans, she walked Shaun through everything. "It'll be easier once we arrive at Rusbak. I'll find someone to come up with a new passport for you. After that, we'll take a flight from Rusbak to Norcat. We'll board a train from there, and it'll slowly take us to the north, where we can enjoy the scenery."
Although Shaun had left in a hurry that day, not bringing his identification and phone was a good thing for him. His family couldn't contact him, so he didn't have to worry about Alex sending others after him to capture him.
As soon as Shaun stepped out to refuel the car, eight armed bodyguards suddenly surrounded him and the vehicle.
Each of them held a gun in their hands, causing the gas station worker, who had been refilling gas, to jump in fright. He immediately turned off the fuel nozzle, knowing that shooting at a gas station could lead to dire consequences.
Shaun immediately recognized these bodyguards as Will's henchmen.
Shaun's expression darkened. He never expected these bodyguards to locate them so soon. He immediately ran for the driver's seat and opened the door.
Before he could even get into the car, the bodyguards behind held him back. Soon, Shaun found himself alone, having to fight many bodyguards.
Seeing that made Samantha feel like her heart was about to leap out of her throat. Just as she was about to unfasten her seatbelt, Shaun quickly yelled, "Don't get down! Leave first! We'll meet at the docks!"
