Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 1002

At that moment, Hera's phone rang. After glancing at it, she said to Samantha, "Rest well. I'm going back first. My children are looking for me."

Samantha knew it had to be Bernard, who was always clingy with Hera, and nodded. "Sure. Once I'm back in Jadonia, I'll hit you up."

Jameson placed the plate down and thoughtfully helped Samantha see Hera off. Afterward, he returned to the ward.

Once he had washed his hands, he picked up the plate of risotto and prepared to personally feed Samantha.

"I'll do it myself." Samantha reached for the plate.

Although Jameson was slightly hesitant, he didn't push his luck in the end.

Samantha was a woman who liked to be wooed. In the past, she would always ask him to feed her while they were still dating. Seeing how distant she was with him implied she wasn't about to accept him so quickly.

"It was you who sent me to the hospital yesterday, right? Thank you for saving my life," Samantha said gratefully. After having her stomach pumped, she felt much better once she finished her risotto.

Jameson did not deny it. "Don't have to thank me. I should apologize to you. As your date, I should've been by your side at all times. Then, that wouldn't have happened to you."

"No need to apologize since it's not your fault. I was just unlucky," Samantha answered. "But luckily, you were there. You're really my and my mom's guardian angel. You've saved us on two different occasions. Once I'm out of the hospital, I'll definitely repay your kindness."

Jameson wanted to explain that it wasn't him who sent her to the hospital. In fact, it was Shaun who sought Hera out to give guidance to the doctors through a video call. That was how they saved Samantha's life.

When Jameson noticed how grateful Samantha was toward him, he selfishly didn't want to make things clear. After all, he wanted to continue staying in contact with her.

"Sure, I'll be waiting, then. If possible, I want to eat your home-cooked food," he said gently with a warm smile.

Samantha usually learned how to cook whenever she had nothing to do. However, her cooking skills were inconsistent. "No problem. I hope the food comes out well."

While Samantha was at the hospital for the past three days, Jameson remained by her side every night. She was even making dinner for him now. Clearly, that accident had brought them closer than ever.

"No. Don't overthink it," Samantha denied it.

"Perhaps you don't have feelings for him, but he's interested in you, right?" Millie realized what was on Samantha's mind.

"I truly find Jameson to be a rather decent man. See how thoughtful and caring he was to you while you were in the hospital. Look at Shaun, who didn't even show up. If you get together with Jameson, you won't have any conflicts regarding your nationality, identity, and religion."

Samantha's lips parted, and she was ready to retort. However, nothing came out.

Ever since the accident, she hadn't seen Shaun at all. Hera had deduced that he still had feelings for Samantha, but so many days had passed, and there was still no sign of him.

He didn't even text her, asking how she was. What lingering feelings did he have?
