Triplets for the Billionaire novel (Oliver Gusto) novel Chapter 23

Still frozen on her feet, Magda’s throat felt dry and it was as if blood stopped circulating all over her body. Her vision became blurred, and her head, heavy and blurry flashback scenarios began replaying in her mind.

Oliver frowned at the woman who stood before him like She was lifeless. He was used to stares and glares from people just like how they were staring at him at the airport when he landed but this was different. At some point, the  woman before him was looking lifeless and as a non-emotional individual, the gesture began to freak him out.

“Ma’am.” He called but she didn’t even move. It was obvious she wasn’t here.

“Earth to Madam?!” He said in a high-pitched voice this time around which caught the attention of the driver.

As if some drop of water was splashed on her, Magda snapped out of her thoughts, breathing twice faster.

“What the hell?!” He snapped.

“Sorry?” Magda was taken off guard by his reaction.

“Are you sick or something?”

She stared at him in confusion, wanting to know if he was mocking her or if he was being truly concerned but it seemed to be the first.

“You domestic staff just happen to be the same all over the world. Nasty and incompetent.” He spat without any emotion.

“I can’t wait for the damn wedding to be over and to be out of here.” He said more to himself and then approached the driver to pay him.

The driver thanked him for the huge tip after which he returned to the luxurious car and drove off.

As Oliver did all of that, Magda didn’t move an inch from where She was. She was trying to process all of Oliver’s behavior and what just happened.

“Come on, woman, Would you usher me in or this is where we are going to be for the rest of the day?”

“I had a long flight and the last thing I want is some maid bullshitting me.”

“You lack manners, young man.” Magda finally said, coming back to her normal self.

Oliver frowned, turning around to see if a third party was with them but they seemed to be the only two people there.

“Don’t be a Dickhead and Yes, you’re the one I’m talking to.”

“You’ve got to be shitting me,” Oliver mumbled, but loud enough for Magda to hear.

“What does it take for  you to be respectful?” She challenged, folding her arms.

“Do you know who I am?”

“To hell with whoever the fuck you are!”

At this point, Oliver was fuming on the inside. If looks could kill, then Magda would have been buried long ago. Ollie couldn’t believe he was here against his will and here he was facing such disrespect.

His domestic staff back in Australia wouldn’t dare to look him in the eye; not to even think of talking back at him and here he was facing such humiliation after flying for hours.

Oliver Gusto was about to say something when Magda cut him off.

“I don’t care how you see your domestic staff where you are coming from but we are treated with utmost respect here and better inculcate that for the hours you’re going to spend here.”

“You must be fucking kidding me.”

“You speak to Beatrice this way?”

“Haven’t you heard that respect is reciprocal?” She challenged.

“Not when you stand there gawking at me with your horny eyes.”

Magda chuckled, not believing the man standing in front of her was exactly how Katherine described him and even more.

“You are so full of yourself, aren’t you?”

“To think everyone that stares at you wants to bed you?”

Oliver chuckled.

“Please ignore her, dear. Magda can be pretty difficult.” She said with a pleading voice.

“So you mean to fucking tell me you have no control over your staff?” He said in disappointment.

“Of course I do. You know I don’t tolerate any form of disrespect. Well, except from Katherine and sometimes Magda who happen to be the pests in my life. Just that, Magda has been with us for a long time and She’s like family now.”

Ollie sighed, running his fingers through his slightly rough hair “You know what? I’m done with all this bullshit! I’ll just go lodge in a hotel.”

“Come on, Ollie, Don’t be mean.”

“Look, I apologize for everything Magda did to you and I promise to scold her when I get back. You must be so tired and stressed to start looking for a taxi or a hotel to stay in.”

“You’re already at my place, there’s no point going elsewhere. Just try to make yourself comfortable. I promise to be with you soon.”

When he said nothing, Beatrice spoke, “Please Ollie. I would love to see you and catch up with you on as many conversations as possible before the wedding tomorrow. And I’m sure your Father wouldn’t be happy hearing you ditch me to stay at the hotel.”

“There we go again?” Ollie mumbled.

“Look, I don’t mean to blackmail you but the point is, You are already at my place so there’s no point in leaving.”

“Whatever! Just get here as soon as possible.”

“Thank you, my love.” He heard her squeal.

Oliver rolled his eyes as he ended the call.

“Are you done reporting me?”

He looked up from his phone and found Magda by the door.

He exhaled, knowing he was in for a lot of pissing off this weekend.
