"Bastard…" Rachel muttered under her breath before sticking her phone back into her pocket, she looked up to see Yandel standing at the post of the passage into the dining area.
"Jesus!!" Rachel yelped, holding to her chest a bit as her heart raced erratically.
"We don't even look alike Celi," Yandel chuckled, making her roll her eyes.
"How long have you been standing there?," Rachel asked him, feeling a little uncomfortable, she could have been thinking out loud and he had heard her.
"Not long enough to be considered weird or freaky but long enough to here the most pissed off bastard I have ever heard," Yandel said, smiling sweetly at her while maintaining insane eye contact which made her stomach turn a little, no not really nausea but the kind of butterflies she has been avoiding.
"Well you can thank Xander for that, he definitely made that move intentionally, only God knows what else that evil bastard has planned," Rachel muttered under her breath.
"Have I mentioned you have the cutest nose I have ever seen?," Yandel said out of nowhere taking Rachel complete surprise. She looked at him scrutinizing every emotion that crossed his face and she couldn't find joke or unseriousness, he was staring at her like he was just seeing her for the first time.
"You look uncomfortable," Yandel said with a trace of worry creasing his face.
"If only you will stop staring at me like your fucking last supper," Rachel said,
"Well, all I need you to be in is proper dressing, and some Atisoree and petisoree," Yandel said, winking at her.
"Are you bipolar??," Rachel asked, confused. It was like one minute he is shy and can't hold a complete sentence looking her in the eye and now he is being all flirty, telling dirty jokes and making intense eye contact like he was Régé-Jean from Bridgertn. But she has never really heard him talking about a depressive phase nor did he's siblings mention it.
"What??,"
"Why did you ask??" Yandel looked confused, which answered her question. He wasn't bipolar but definitely had a weird personality disorder trait because it's almost like he's a different person when they were alone.
"You always seem different, lighter and more intense when we are alone or is it just all in my head?," Rachel asked, muttering the last part to herself.
"Well maybe it's all in your head, maybe it's you that brings out that side of me, or maybe I was so used to being confident around you in the past with the hopes of making you talk more I guess, all I know is you make it happen," Yandel smiled, pinching both sides of her cheek as they hinted to slightest shade of red.
"OMG, Is the fierce Araceli blushing?," Yandel teased as he started to tickle her wrapping his arms around her as she squirmed and laughed underneath him, she managed to escape his hold and tried to catch her breath but that goal was short lived as he started to chase her around the counter making her squeal more. They were so immersed in their little fun that they didn't notice Emily standing at the post looking at both of them with a weird smile on her face.
Whether does two admitted it or not, they really looked good together, they both had weird sense of humour and they both apparently had bad communication skills because they weren't dating yet that was just fucked up on different levels because they looked so good together.
"Oh Emily!!" Rachel said, finally noticing her standing at the post leading into the kitchen, she was totally focused on not letting Yandel get a hold of her that she lost her environment survey skills, only God knows how long she was standing there looking at them making a fool out of themselves.
"Emily??"
"Oh Emily…" Yandel repeated as the name finally clicked, his sister just caught them making a fool out of themselves when he was supposed to get her to the dining area.
"Oh wait a second,"
"You both can see me??" Emily asked in faux shock, widening her eyes as if she also thought she was invincible.
"Heaw, for a second there, I thought I had actually become Miss invincible," Emily said, smirking at both of them who were so dearly trying to catch their breath in a totally obscure way but were failing badly. They had a lost look on their face which meant they didn't get her reference.
"Miss invincible??"
"Invincible girl?"
"My hero academia??"
"Excuse me, but can you keep your food in your mouth and be done before opening up and spilling shit," Maya said bitterly before going back to her food, she had everyone paused because no one knew where all the venom came from.
"Excuse you,"
"Who the hell are you talking to with that tone," Emily said, dropping her fork and facing her completely.
"Maya, don't talk to her life that," "Oh oh…" Ethan muttered.
"Look Maya, it's no ones fault here that you are unpresentable and undesirable, and your Scope game is levels with zero, you can't blame us and be active aggressive with us, we are not your problem, you are in my house, eating MY food, so do me a favor girl, ride the stick that is up your ass and don't make it anybody's business" Emily spat, going back to her food to finish hers. This left Maya speechless, her eyes were left blinking like fish that was just drawn out of water, she stood up from the chair, making the dramatic sound and took her purse and left.
"Hey Maya can I give you a ride home?," Yandel yelled after her. but in reply, she closed the door with force that shook the glasses on the door.
"Woah…"
"Where is Ace please?" Yandel asked.
"In the game room, He prolly must have slept off," Ethan said.
"I will go get him," Rachel said.
"No no no, you eat and I will go get him and take him to bed. You don't have to worry, you look pretty and tired anyways," Yandel countered smiling, making her smile in return and she muttered a silent thank you to him.
"Woah, you guys keep getting more cringy everyday…"
