Chapter 2566
Kaitlyn Parson froze for a short while before coming back to her senses. She knew who Vince York was talking about.
She lightly chuckled.
“Young Lord York, you wanted to achieve two things by sending those two old men out before.
“The first goal was to test the Longmen’s limits and observe their tolerance toward Harvey York.
“The second goal was to drag The Empire of the Sun that Never Sets down. Now that the Island Nations have suffered significant losses after going against Harvey, you’re planning to use The Empire of the Sun that Never Sets to deal with that man.
“Isn’t it good now that those two old fools are being trampled on just as you wished?”
“I planned for it to be this way, but plans can never keep up with change,” responded Vince
calmly.
“Some people just won’t acknowledge their own status. He still thinks he’s the one in control…”
A disdainful look appeared on Vince’s face.
“Some people?”
Kaitlyn was pondering about those words.
Hurried footsteps could be heard in front of the hall not long after.
Elmer Evans, whose face was completely swollen, pushed open the guest room doors and strode toward Vince before sitting down.
His twisted face kept changing expressions while showing utter resentment.
“He’s Harvey York?!
“He’s just some Longmen branch leader!
“How dare he slap me in front of everyone?!
“He even called me a dog for the foreigners!
“Kill him! You need to help kill him!
Vince glanced at Elmer, who, at this point, had lost all control of his emotions.
“One must be at peace to achieve big things. You’re the one who taught me that.
“How come you can’t calm yourself down when you’re the one who got in trouble?
“Besides, even though Harvey’s only the branch leader of Mordu’s Longmen branch, that should be enough to show his competence!
“I used to think of him as weak before, but he had constantly foiled my plans and even took down Dennis Parker, Queenie York, Naoto Takei, and the others!
“That’s why it’s only natural for you to suffer losses against a man like him!
“Don’t forget. I already warned you before you went to lend Haider a hand. Harvey’s a tough nut to crack, but you still insisted on getting yourself involved. What am I supposed to say then?”
Vince was indifferent. He had already found himself a solid excuse to fall back on with a smile
LL
on his face.
