At that moment, Nolan didn't show any anger. His voice remained calm and devoid of any emotions. Yet, for some inexplicable reason, both Megan and Jeanne shivered involuntarily as they looked at him.
A sudden, chilling thought surfaced deep within Megan's mind—she shouldn't have come here. And even more so, she shouldn't have taken out the Spirit of Life Serum or made those bold claims in front of Nolan.
"Nolan, are you questioning me? Sure, I could tell you, but why should I? Who do you think you are? Do you really think I have to answer you? Let me tell you something—don't fool yourself into thinking you're all-powerful just because you seem impressive right now. In reality, you're nothing. Everything you have is nothing more than an illusion—a fleeting mirage that will soon vanish into thin air!
At that moment, Megan seemed to revel in the vision of Nolan's eventual downfall. Pointing arrogantly at his face, she said, "I came here today just to tell you this, Nolan. If you think I'm going to bow down and apologize to you, you're dreaming!
"You like the bottle, don't you? Fine, take it—consider it a gift. It doesn't matter to me anyway. This kind of thing will be plentiful for me in the future. I'll be able to get as much as I want! Hahaha!"
At that moment, a cold sweat broke out on Jeanne's forehead. Before they arrived, they had agreed not to provoke Nolan unnecessarily. After all, they were on his turf, and with Nolan still standing strong, it was clear that if anyone suffered first, it would be them.
Jeanne gently tugged at Megan's sleeve, subtly signaling her not to go too far.
Megan glanced at Jeanne and sneered, "What's wrong? Are you scared? Jeanne, if you're afraid, just step aside and watch quietly from a safe distance. Nolan is so considerate of women, I'm sure he won't give you a hard time."
Nolan nodded with a smile. "You're right. Having the Spirit of Life Serum daily is a great feat. Perhaps only the president of Myth Group could manage that. So, what makes you think you're entitled to that?"
Hearing Nolan bring up Myth Group, Megan's eyes lit up. Smirking, she said, "Entitled? Maybe not before, but who's to say I won't be in the future? You don't need me to remind you of Myth Group's power and resources, do you?
"Now imagine if a force even more terrifyingly powerful were to align with Myth Group—what kind of chain reaction do you think that would create? I don't think I need to say much more. Nolan, everything you have—your so-called achievements and connections—would be crushed to dust under the weight of that force and the Spirit of Life Serum combined. That's not an exaggeration, wouldn't you agree?"
Nolan smiled faintly and nodded. "That does sound quite terrifying. But, what does any of that have to do with you? Let's not even discuss the fact that Myth Group has nothing to do with you. Even if there really is such a powerful force backing you, it seems like you're only borrowing their strength—it's not actually yours is it? Megan, your old habit is showing again. You always did love daydreaming, didn't you?"
