The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 470

"Dad, Mom, Niall, Liana—today, I'll reveal everyone's true colors. And at the same time, I want you to see a different side of me!"

Before Nolan could say anything further, one car after another pulled up from outside the village, and then the chorus of voices rose again.

"The CEO of Norwich Group from the Eastern State is here to pay a visit!"

"The chairman of Blueheart Group from the Eastern State is here to pay a visit!"

"The chairman of Sparkjoy Group from the Eastern State is here to pay a visit!"

More people were actually arriving at this hour? But what mattered wasn't just the arrival of more people—it was the caliber of those who were coming. The expressions on Harold and Hoover's faces changed instantly, signaling that the newcomers were no ordinary individuals.

"Why are they here?"

"Every one of them is worth billions of dollars."

As they murmured in confusion, the chorus of voices rose once more.

"Mr. Luca Ryder from Wellton is here to pay a visit!"

"Mr. Levi Cruz from Rumington is here to pay a visit!"

"Mr. Jace Emerson from Soraville is here to pay a visit!"

"Fang from Eastland is here to pay a visit!"

If the arrival of the first wave of people had merely surprised Ben and Harold, the presence of these new arrivals left everyone who understood the significance of their names wide-eyed in shock. Even Harold couldn't hide his frown.

Ben, sneering, shot a look at Nolan and his family. "Did you see that? This is the kind of power Mr. Greene Senior wields. The village will only prosper more, but unfortunately... You won't live to see it."

Nolan, however, merely gave Ben an indifferent glance. He couldn't even bother to say anything to him.

Wayne and Niall didn't recognize these people or understand their significance. It wasn't until Archie explained things to them that they began to grasp the gravity of the situation. The more they learned, the paler their faces became.

But Archie, with a confident smile, spoke up. "Mr. Greene Senior, just wait and see. These people aren't here to cheer them on. No, they're all here to pay their respects to Mr. Greene."

Wayne and the others were stunned. These people were here to pay respects to Mr. Greene?

As soon as they realized that the "Mr. Greene" Archie had referred to could only be Nolan, everyone froze in place. They turned to look at Nolan with disbelief, as if that was the most absurd thing in the whole world.

Nolan stood there, hands clasped behind his back, his gaze calm and distant as he surveyed everyone present. Despite his tattered and dirty clothes, he exuded an undeniable air of authority.
