Nolan turned to Wayne and said lightly, "Dad, just a moment ago, they were the ones who kicked me off the stage. And now they sent you to invite me back? Who do they think they are?"
Wayne's eyes widened at Nolan's insolence. He was about to give him a good scolding when Nolan chuckled and started introducing the people around him.
"Let me introduce everyone to you, Dad. This is Mr. Baxter, this is Mr. Riley, and this is Mr. Perez. The rest here are also important guests who came to show their support." Then with a warm smile, Nolan pointed to Wayne and said, "Gentlemen, this is my dad."
That single sentence was enough. Archie and the others immediately stood up as a display of respect, and one after another, politely shook hands with Wayne.
"Mr. Greene Senior, it's an absolute honor to meet you. We hope our presence here hasn't inconvenienced you."
Just moments ago, the title "Mr. Greene Senior" was reserved only for Harold. Though Wayne wasn't young anymore, he had never been addressed as such by the villagers. Most people simply called him "Mr. Greene".
Yet now, Archie—a figure of significant stature—was respectfully addressing him as "Mr. Greene Senior". The sheer contrast left Wayne feeling flattered and a bit overwhelmed.
"Calling me 'Mr. Greene Senior' is far too lofty for me. In fact, the gentleman on the stage is the one deserving of that title. Just call me Mr. Greene. And I'm deeply grateful to you all for coming to show your support. As his father, I know Nolan can be headstrong and unruly at times. If there's been any oversight or lack of hospitality, I hope you'll forgive him."
Nolan chuckled. "Dad, you're wrong. What I'm doing is the opposite—I'm standing up for the rights of the villagers and fighting to bring them what they rightfully deserve. The ones who are truly wealthy and exploiting them are the people currently sitting on that stage.
"They embezzled money that rightfully belonged to you and all the villagers. You might not know exactly how much, but I do. I have all the evidence of their crimes in my hand, and very soon, I'll make it public for everyone to see.
"Then, let everyone witness who are the rich bastards who are exploiting the villagers by taking money that should have been theirs right out of their pockets!"
