The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 432

The news was met with concern by some, cold indifference by others, and even joy by a few.

The days passed quietly, leading up to the Greene family reunion.

Wayne, Melody, Liana, and even Tyler were all present in Megan's villa. Although Tyler seemed better, there was still an air of haggardness to him.

"Wayne, Melody, the car is ready. We can leave at any time, but maybe we should wait for Nolan. He did say he would go back for the family reunion today, so I believe he'll arrive here soon."

Melody had everything prepared early in the morning, treating the Greene family reunion as a significant occasion.

"There's no need to wait for him. It's better if he doesn't come. He'll only embarrass us if he does," said Wayne in a deep voice. "Let's set off. We can't afford to be late."

Megan didn't push the matter further. She simply nodded and said, "Alright, let's set off then."

At that moment, Nolan was already on his way to Rio Village in Scarlet's car. He certainly wouldn't miss his family reunion since he had promised to attend. Moreover, the occasion was also an opportunity for him to purge unwanted individuals from his family.

"Scarlet, you didn't make things difficult for Tyler in Eastland, did you?" asked Nolan.

"Of course not," replied Scarlet with a smile. "On the contrary, I've actually helped him a lot over the past few days. The fact that he's been able to quickly annex several districts around Eastland is all thanks to my efforts. It would truly be unreasonable if he were to complain about that."

Scarlet immediately frowned upon hearing the name. "I don't really like people calling me that, but whatever. I'm fine as long as they don't shout it in front of me."

After that, he handed over an envelope to Nolan. "Mr. Greene, here is the personnel information and investigative data on those returning from out of state for the family reunion.

"According to the data, some of the visitors are indeed your elders. Of course, they're no simple characters. Especially the one called Hoover Greene, who is also the third generation's eldest grandson. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing, and word on the street is, he's got some serious tricks up his sleeve."

Nolan took a look at the materials in the envelope, and a faint smirk slowly appeared on his lips. "It doesn't matter who they are. The most important thing is that they don't meddle with what I'm going to do today."
