Megan collapsed to the ground, gasping for air.
At that moment, she didn't even dare meet Nolan's eyes.
When Nolan had his hand around her neck, she had genuinely felt the threat of death. For an instant, she had the illusion that Nolan was going to kill her.
At the very least, she knew that the thought had crossed his mind.
But in the end, he still gave up.
After catching her breath for a moment, Megan stood up and looked at Nolan. "Nolan, it's easy to end this farce quickly. Just do what I said—supply me with 100 bottles of Spirit of Life Serum every month, and we'll part ways amicably.
"Or tell me where you're getting Spirit of Life Serum from. Give me access to the source so I can have my share of the profits every month, and this matter will be settled. How about that?"
"How about that, she asked? So, this is still about the Spirit of Life Serum," Nolan thought.
It was no surprise, though. Spirit of Life Serum was a treasure of unimaginable value. Whoever controlled it would gain astronomical benefits.
Megan was no idiot.
Looking at her, Nolan sneered, "Do you even know what you're saying?"
Megan scoffed in return. "What? You think I'm talking nonsense? Fine, then let's keep going. But don't forget. If I walk away now, your parents will be the unhappiest people on earth. Your family is holding a memorial ceremony in a few days, and they're counting on me.
She pointed at Nolan's face and shouted, "Are you really still trying to fool me when things have gotten to this point? What, are you going to tell me you own Spirit of Life Serum and Myth Group? Have some shame, Nolan.
"Can we talk about something real for once? If you're not sincere, don't blame me for what happens next."
Nolan looked at Megan as if she were an idiot.
"I believe I already told you that Myth Group is mine. You were the one who didn't believe me. Megan, what I own is far more than you can imagine.
"If you leave now, you can keep your dignity. And you can still live your life. Otherwise, the more you know, the more you'll wish you were dead. Understand?" Nolan uttered.
However, Megan sneered, "Fine, then let me see just how much you really have and how you'll make me wish I were dead. When that time comes, I'll definitely bow to you while kneeling and beg for forgiveness—that is given if you're even capable or not."
