"Mr. Greene, you're back. Have a seat and rest for a while."
Nolan glanced at the time and frowned slightly. "Prepare a room for me. I need a shower. And get me a set of clean clothes."
Not daring to delay, Fang quickly replied, "Everything is ready. I'll take you there right away."
Nolan said nothing more and went off to shower and change.
When Nolan reappeared, the smell of blood he had earlier was gone.
"Scarlet, stay here for the next few days to help Fang deal with any potential issues that might arise," he instructed, looking at Scarlet.
Scarlet nodded in acknowledgment. "Understood."
Then, he turned his gaze to Fang. "You can send people to take over Gregory's territories now. He has already left the Eastern State."
Hearing this, Fang froze in place. He had never imagined that the situation would progress to this point. In his view, salvaging today's events and turning the tide was already the greatest victory possible.
But Nolan went far beyond that—he had forced Gregory out of the Eastern State entirely. It was a monumental surprise.
"Mr. Greene, has Mr. Lynch really left? It's not that I doubt you. I'm just worried Mr. Lynch might double back. It's not impossible to do that for someone as cunning as him."
Nolan shook his head. "I killed three of his trusted aides. He severed his own left arm before my eyes. He knows his position very well, so you need to worry about him.
"He won't be making a comeback for now. Even if he does, he won't target you. He'll come after me. Alright, that's enough about him. From now on, I expect you to clean up the underworld of the Eastern State entirely.
Nolan waved his hand. "That's enough, Scarlet. Stop scaring him. After all, he's now the most powerful figure in the Eastern State's underworld. He needs to maintain his dignity.
"For the next few days, just do your job properly. Don't do anything unnecessary. Alright, I need to head back—get a car ready for me. I should make it in time to have breakfast with my parents."
Hearing this, Scarlet immediately replied, "The car is ready. You can leave anytime."
Nolan nodded before walking straight out the door. Once in the car, he urged Daniel to speed up.
Staying out all night was nothing unusual in the past, but things were different now. His parents were staying at Megan's house, and both Megan and Tyler would surely give him a hard time over it.
As he thought about Tyler, the killing intent Nolan had just managed to suppress flared up again.
