The phone was quickly answered.
"Kara, what made you think of calling me?" Leonard's delighted voice reached Kara's ears, clearly pleased by her unexpected call.
Her lips curved into a satisfied smile as she appreciated her charm.
"Leonard, I didn't want to disturb you since I knew you might be busy, but today is my birthday, and I wanted to invite you to my birthday party personally. Do you have the time to come?"
He immediately laughed and said, "Kara, how could I refuse your invitation? Just tell me the address, and I'll head over right away. I have to wish you a happy birthday in person."
She promptly gave him the address.
"Alright. I'll be there in half an hour at most."
Kara was taken aback after hearing that he would arrive in half an hour. "Leonard, are you in Bellington and not in Eastland?"
Leonard laughed. "I am on a business trip in Bellington, so it's quite a coincidence. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't be able to make it to your party."
She smiled and nodded, exchanging a few more pleasantries before hanging up.
Looking at Kitty and Dipsy, she said excitedly, "It's done! Leonard will be here in half an hour. I'll definitely find a way to get him to help me buy a bottle of Spirit of Life Serum."
"Heh... she's lucky to have hitched to the Baxter family. She has been putting on this act all these years. I'll see if she can keep up the act today."
Upon hearing Jeanne's irritated tone, Megan smiled faintly and said, "Jeanne, to be honest, it's not just you who's upset. I'm not happy either.
"We've been good friends since we were young, and you've always been outstanding. At least you're no worse than Audrey, right? But now, Audrey has found her perfect match, and you're still single. That doesn't quite add up."
Jeanne sneered when she heard these provocative words. "No one can put on an act like she does. She's been pretending to be so kind and pure. After all, she's just a fake.
"Her true colors might even be revealed today." Megan smiled and opened the car door before stepping out.
