The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 219

Lincoln was going all out, and Shaun was extremely nervous when he saw all the men.

Everything was going smoothly at first, and Lincoln was even on his side. However, if they started fighting, then his plans would go down the drain.

Shaun yelled, "What are you doing, Lincoln? We're all friends here, and Mr. Ironhead doesn't mean any harm! So, calm down."

After that, he turned to Ironhead and smiled wryly. "Mr. Ironhead, we've finally settled things here. If you mess this up, I think that Godfather will be upset, right?"

When Ironhead heard that, he harrumphed. "To put it bluntly, Mr. Lynch is just being kind to you. If it were up to me, anyone who has gone against him will have to die! It's not easy to see the great stubborn Mr. Baxter, so can't I say something to test his capabilities?

"Forget it. I'll drop it for your sake. Just get him to make you the head of the Baxters to make up for his mistake."

Then, he scoffed at Lincoln. "As expected of the big boss of the underworld in Bellington, you sure are impressive, Lincoln.

"However, don't forget that Bellington is also part of Eastern State, and Mr. Lynch calls the shots here, not you! Take my advice and train yourself more. Otherwise, you're gonna get killed without realizing it one day!"

He was obviously threatening Lincoln.

Ironheart was no saint. After all, he was Gregory's most trusted man. So, his words aren't just a mere threat.

He carefully said to Lincoln, "Lincoln, you should just tune it back a little. We've finally gotten what we wanted, so let's not mess it up now."

When Lincoln heard that, he scoffed at Shaun. "I supported you to be the head of the family because I thought it wasn't worth risking the whole family's safety for Nolan! However, I didn't say Mr. Baxter can be humiliated. Keep in mind that he isn't just the head of the Baxters, but he's also your dad.

"If you can even defend your dad from being humiliated, what gives you the courage to be the head of the family? That's all I have to say about it. If someone tries humiliating Mr. Baxter again, they'll be my enemy. Then, I'll kill everyone who does it!"

He sounded loyal when he said that.
