The water in the bathroom was loud and the bathroom was misty. After a while, Kingsley asked her in a deep voice to answer the phone.
Sherman hesitated for a moment, and then she answered the phone. The man on the other side of the phone was very respectful and called "Mr. Wright" first.
She tried to speak, but the man didn't give her a chance. He started to speak again. Sherman's body stiffened as she heard what he said.
The man was talking about what happened today at the wedding.
But what he said was the inside information...
He said in such a respectful way about how he had organized the reporters at Mr. Wright's behest and how he had gone to the wedding...
At this point, Sherman realized that Kingsley had let the reporters in on purpose. It was all part of his plan.
So did he know about her pregnancy early on?
Holding her glass tightly, she thought he had such sharp eyes to see through it all, and then she remembered that he had asked Lee to bring her soup every day.
Sherman thought he had known it for a long time, but he had kept it to himself.
Her heart was full of anger...
After a while, Kingsley came out. When he turned around, he found Sherman staring at him. He smiled and then said, "Are you finally talking?"
"Did you know that thing long ago?" Sherman asked.
Kingsley's deep eyes flickered and then he looked up," Which one?"
After a pause, Sherman said slowly, "My pregnancy."
Sherman's chest moved slightly from gasping, but she said nothing.
"When I first learned that you were pregnant, I was so happy that I couldn't control myself. But your hesitant look and sensitive attitude told me that you hadn't decided how to tell me, so I pretended not to know. I couldn't put too much pressure on you.
I've been waiting for you to tell me, but you didn't. I wondered if this was about me. We are in a relationship right now. We aren't planning to marry. You are so confused about my attitude toward marriage and whether I like the baby that you can't make up your mind.
Today, at his wedding, I did these things on purpose. The only reason he invited you to his wedding was to embarrass you. But, with me by your side, who could embarrass you?
I took this opportunity to talk about my attitude toward the baby and show you how much I care for you. I wanted to get rid of all your doubts and scruples. I love this baby, and I want it to be born. I've made my attitude very clear. I am very glad to be
responsible for you and the baby. Tell me how I set you up."
This was the first time he had been so angry. His eyes narrowed and darkened as he said this.
