Eileen directly pushed the food that Luke wanted to eat in front of him.
Then, she picked up some food and placed i t in Ruben's bowl.
When Luke noticed what she had done, he got angry and almost wanted to drive Ruben out of the apartment.
The dinner was not pleasant. After eating, Luke did not say anything or plan to leave. He leaned against the sofa lazily, looking like the owner of the apartment.
After Ruben accompanied Eileen to clean the dishes, he said goodbye to Brad and walked out of the room to leave.
Eileen took a sweater coat and walked out, a s she planned to accompany Ruben downstairs.
It was late. Thinking that there were still two video conferences to be held in the evening, Luke took Brad's schoolbag and asked him to go home.
The place where Eileen lived was not a high -end apartment and it was a place where poor people lived. There was no elevator and the staircase was very narrow. The lights installed in the corridor were voice-activated, which were sometimes on and sometimes off.
Ruben walked in front of them. Behind him was Eileen, followed by Brad and Luke.
The lights suddenly dimmed. Eileen missed a step. As her lame leg did not stand firmly, her whole body fell forward. She exclaimed in shock.
Hearing her voice, Ruben immediately turned around to hold her.
Luke, who was walking at the back, also saw her falling forward clearly.
He immediately took a step forward, bypassed Brad and supported the right side of her body.
The next second, the lights were on. Their situation could be seen clearly.
Ruben held the left side of her waist with his hand while Luke held the right side of her waist with his hand.
It was Luke who first said in a low voice." Let go of her!"
Lowering his head, Ruben noticed the position where his hand was placed.
He let go of her and apologized to Eileen," I'm sorry."
Brad nodded his head. "It's cold outside. Go home, Mom. I won’t eat candy."
Eileen did not leave, but she did not speak t o Luke from beginning to end.
When the car disappeared from sight, she turned around and went upstairs.
In the car.
Luke only felt as if he was about to be ignited by a flame.
He tore open his tie and unbuttoned his shirt.
But he still felt hot. So, he rolled down the car window and let the cold wind blow in, s o as to mitigate his hotness.
But Brad said that he felt cold.
When the cold wind blew in, Brad curled u p, looking pitiful.
