The Mischievous Doctor (Finnegan and Nuthana) novel Chapter 310

Realizing that Finnegan was about to leave, Alisha hurriedly stepped forward. “Finnegan, aren't you going to treat Mdm. Yeatman anymore?”

Without turning his head, Finnegan asked, “Am I a lowlife?”

He went there that night out of respect for Theoden and also because he considered Marisol to be a legendary old lady.

When Jacqueline first met him, she mistook him for Alisha's follower, which was forgivable. But it was outrageous that she even went as far as to call him a dog.

Subsequently, Alisha clarified that he had arrived to treat Marisol, to which Jacqueline responded with disdain and rudeness.

She even believed Jacques' one-sided words without reason, blindly defending him.

It would be humiliating for Finnegan to stay behind to treat Marisol, considering the treatment he had received.

A slight change crossed Celine's face. “Mr. Larkin, if you could find it in your heart to overlook the slight, there would be no need to dwell on it. On behalf of Ms. Jacqueline and the others, I apologize to you!”

However, Finnegan no longer responded. He stepped past Jacqueline and the others and left directly.

Alisha's expression shifted slightly, ultimately letting out a sigh. “Celine, I'll be taking my leave now. You all take care of yourselves.”

She quickly caught up with Finnegan to avoid him having any complaints about her.

The propped-up Jacqueline asked in confusion, “Celine, who is that young man? Why are you being so polite to him? You didn't even care when my brother and I were beaten up.”

Celine glanced at Jacqueline and Jacques and intended to say something.

However, recalling Theoden's warning, Celine still held back a bit as she informed, “He is the savior of Old Mr. Wahlstrom, a miracle doctor. Moreover, he has also bestowed his kindness upon the prominent families of Jadeborough, including the Haimowitz and Miles families. He is a very capable young man. He came here tonight because he was invited by Old Mr. Wahlstrom. Yet, you guys messed it up.”

Upon hearing that, Jacqueline was unimpressed. “I thought it was someone remarkable. It turns out he's just a piece of trash who got a bit lucky.”

Jacques' eyes were even more fierce. “D*mn! No wonder Jaxon and the others helped him beat me up. So, that's the kind of relationship they have.”

“Enough, let's end it here.” Celine stopped them from talking, feeling annoyed. “I'm going to check on how Mr. Zester's diagnosis for Mdm. Yeatman is going. You two ought to behave yourselves and don't think about seeking revenge on Finnegan.”

After giving her instructions, Celine returned to Marisol's room in the backyard.

On a bed lay an elderly woman with snow-white hair, her face etched with wrinkles, exuding an aura of frailty.

Despite this, one could still discern from her countenance that she was a strong-willed and astute elderly woman.

Jacqueline had invited Charlie from Jipsdale to treat her, but his brows remained furrowed throughout the process.

Celine paused to wait.

After a while, Charlie let out a sigh and withdrew his hand. “I'm afraid there's nothing more I can do.”

A sense of unease tightened around Celine's heart. “Mr. Zester, you're one of the top ten miracle doctors. How could you be helpless? If you can cure Ms. Yeatman, we can afford to pay you any amount of reward.”

“This isn't a matter of money.” Charlie shook his head as he explained, “Rather, I can't determine the cause of Mdm. Yeatman's illness. Her pulse and other signs are all normal. Yet, she's so weak, giving off a feeling of being utterly drained. It's truly peculiar!”

The physical examination showed no signs of illness or pain, yet the person was in a state of sickness.

Celine asked, “Is there really no solution at all?”

Charlie replied, “All I can do is use medicine to enhance Mdm. Yeatman's physical functions and alleviate her weakness. If you want to find out the cause of the illness and cure it completely, I'm afraid you'll have to seek someone more skilled.”
