She felt that Millicent and the others didn’t seem to be genuinely apologizing that night.

Following Bishop, he began to toast Finnegan in apology, even offering three cups in one go.

In response. Finnegan did not refuse and drank it all.

Then, Sapphire raised a glass of red wine to toast Finnegan.

Seeing Finnegan down four shots of vodka in such a short time, and that too in two-ounce glasses,

Bernice couldn’t help but utter again, “Timothy, Queenie, maybe you guys should call it quits?”

“How could I do that?” Timothy gestured to Queenie to refill Finnegan’s empty wine glass, all the while

speaking in a jovial tone. “I was the one who suggested toasting and apologizing one by one. How

could I possibly back out now?”

Raising his wine glass toward Finnegan, he said, “Come Let me toast you three times. From this

moment on, we are family.”

Bernice’s expression tightened slightly. “Finnegan?”

It seemed like Finnegan had drunk too much. His face was somewhat flushed.

Hearing Bernice calling him, he waved his hand and said, “It’s okay, I can handle it. Besides,

everyone’s having a good time. How could I possibly dampen the mood?”

Raising the wine glass, he stood up and said, “Come on. Let’s down three glasses in a row!”

Before long, Finnegan had finished the three cups of apology wine that Timothy had poured for him.

By then, seven cups had been drunk, amounting to one liter and two hundred milliliters.

If it were a matter of a longer time, perhaps it wouldn’t be much of an issue. But having to drink in such

a short amount of time, Finnegan seemed a bit shaky.

Seeing Queenie also raising her wine glass, Bernice took Finnegan’s wine glass first and said,

“Queenie, Finnegan and I are engaged, so it’s the same if I drink on his behalf. I’ll accept your apology

on behalf of Finnegan, and I’ll drink this glass of wine first!”

Before anyone could react, Bernice tilted her head back and finished the drink in her glass.

Due to her haste, coupled with the fact that it was vodka, she coughed a few times, her cheeks flushing

a bright red.

Upon seeing that, Queenie drank the red wine in her hand and said, “Of course you can!”

Millicent uttered at the right moment. “Now that everyone has had their drinks and said their pieces,

let’s not dwell on the past. From now on, we are all one family. Queenie, serve some more dishes to

Finnegan. He seems to have had too much to drink.”

Queenie nodded. “Understood, Grandmal”

At the subsequent meal, everyone ate as if they were a reunited family, chatting leisurely and drinking

wine, creating a particularly harmonious atmosphere.

As it neared past nine, the end was in sight. Millicent patted Finnegan’s hand, asking, “Are you okay?”

Bishop and his family were watching intently as if they were expecting something.

Finnegan shook his head and said, “I’ve had a bit too much to drink. I’m feeling dizzy!”

Millicent chuckled. “It seems you really have had too much to drink. You should stay in tonight and

sleep at home with Bernic. I’ll have Tim escort you back to your room.”

Bruce nodded. “Yes. Sleep here tonight. Bernie, you’ve been drinking, too. You can’t drive!”

Yet, Bernice felt a certain repulsion inside her. Something about that night’s dinner didn’t sit right with

her.

When Bruce spoke up, all she could do was nod in agreement.

Bruce called out to Timothy, “You should first escort Finnegan to his room to rest, then come back. I

have something to discuss with you.”

Upon hearing that Bruce had something to say, Sapphire and her daughter, who were about to stand

up. sat back down.

Soon, Timothy returned after escorting Finnegan to his room.
