Chapter 277 Being Ungrateful
The deafening shouts of killing shocked Mike.
Seeing Hailey still motionless, he pushed her aside and ran to the window. He saw hundreds of elite
members from the Wahlstrom family attacking the Sable family from all sides, already infiltrating the
garden.
His face changed instantly. “Could it be that Dad’s man got caught and betrayed the Sable family?”
Considering this possibility, Mike quickly got dressed and rushed out of his room to the front door of the
mansion.
“Dad, this must be Finnegan seeking revenge once he learned the truth.”
Leaning on his cane, Reginald had a terrifyingly dark expression. “Of course. All these people are
wearing Wahlstrom family’s clothing. Do you need to point it out?”
Mike gave a bitter smile. “Clearly, the person you hired has been caught and betrayed our family!”
Recalling Bennett, whom he trusted, Reginald-felt his heart sink. He gripped his cane. “Enough with the
nonsense! Let Bryn lead the Sable family elites and bodyguards to hold them off. I’ll reward one million
each afterward. Also, call Mr. Wright. I refuse to believe that the Wright family would let Finnegan
destroy the Sable family just because he nearly got killed as it would affect the livelihoods of hundreds
of thousands of people.”
He knew that the Sable family’s hundred or so elite members and bodyguards couldn’t withstand the
attack of the Wahlstrom family’s several hundred elites Now, all he could do was pin his hopes on the
Wright family.
Mike hurriedly summoned Bryn, the leader of the Sable family’s elite, to relay the instructions to him.
And then, he dialed Adam’s number.
However, he received a notification saying it couldn’t connect.
“Dad, there’s no signal!”
What?
Quickly, Reginald grabbed his phone to check, only to find that there was indeed not a single bar of
signal.
Panic finally set in. “Check your phones.”
The others also took out their phones, but just like Mike, they didn’t have any signal either.
Reginald’s body shook as he staggered backward. “Is Finnegan really intending to wipe out my family?”
Even the cell phone signal had been cut off, leaving no way out for the Sable family.
Mike anxiously asked, “Dad, what should we do? Without the Wright family’s intervention, we can’t
withstand Finnegan’s retaliation!”

What should I do?
As Reginald lifted his head, just as he was about to say he didn’t know what to do, he saw a familiar
figure killing the Sable family’s elites as if he were chopping vegetables.
Upon closer inspection, Reginald recognized the man. “Mr. Sanchez!”
Confirming he wasn’t mistaken, Reginald angrily shouted, “Bennett, what are you doing? Are you
repaying kindness with enmity?”
Both he and Mike thought that Bennett had betrayed the Sable family after being captured.
Unexpectedly, Bennett was not captured. Instead, he took the lead, spearheading the Wahlstrom
family’s elite forces in an attack on the Sable family.
Isn’t this just the real-life version of “The Farmer and the Snake?”
A jolt surged through Bennett’s heart. He turned to look at Reginald, a faint sense of guilt lurking in his
eyes.
Howeyer, remembering Reginald wouldn’t hesitate to kill him, and considering the potential danger to
Nancy if he didn’t take action, he pushed aside his guilt once more.
Ignoring Reginald’s accusations, he continued to slaughter the Sable family’s elites.
Reginald’s anger flared as he coughed out a mouthful of blood. “Bennett, you ungrateful backstabber!
Have you forgotten that twelve years ago, if it weren’t for me, you would have died in the streets of
Bellridge? “Have you forgotten that I brought you back to Jadeborough, secured the farmhouse for you,
and helped you settle down with a new identity? How could you lead my enemy to attack my family?
Where is your conscience?”
Mike finally understood what was going on. He burst out angrily, “D*mn it! My dad asked you to kill
Finnegan, and instead, you’re helping Finnegan attack the Sable family. You ungrateful villain!”
As soon as he finished speaking, Finnegan’s voice echoed through the deafening noise of battle. “I’m
