351.Chapter 351
Matthew had been so furious he nearly cursed out loud, but Diana’s actions were always faster than his words. Dodging her strikes, he couldn’t help but seriously question her intentions. ‘This crazy woman. She’s just looking for an excuse to whip me!
‘Yeah, right. Her main goal is to hit me!‘
“Diana! If you don’t stop right now, don’t blame me for not holding back!”
“You think this lady is afraid of you?” With a swift kick, Diana sent him flying several meters. Matthew landed on the ground roughly.
Standing tall, Diana tilted her chin up and smirked coldly. “Come on, try me. Let’s see if you can take me down, or if I end up breaking every bone in your useless body!”
“You’re a lunatic!” Matthew spat, scrambling to his feet. “How long are you going to back Eliza and her nonsense?” Matthew shouted angrily.
Diana cracked her whip without hesitation. “What nonsense are you talking about? I came back to settle the score! Today, either you die, or that bastard girl you’re shielding does.”
“Fine! Don’t blame me for not holding back.” Matthew cursed under his breath and lunged forward without hesitation.
**
Matthew was quick and agile, but Diana matched him move for move.
Years ago, the Baker family witnessed the Padilla family’s tragic downfall firsthand. Unlike the Stonor family, who stood by and did nothing, Diana’s grandpa immediately sent help upon hearing the news. But it was too late. The Padilla estate was already drenched in blood, corpses scattered everywhere.
Their fight spilled from the Duke’s estate onto the bustling streets, drawing a crowd. After dozens of exchanges, Matthew was left with swollen eyes and lips, while Diana walked away with barely a scratch.
Grinding his teeth, Matthew shouted, “Diana, no matter how close you are to Eliza, you still need to be reasonable! Do you even know why she became a nun?”
“I don’t care why! All I know is that you and your brothers had made her suffer!” Diana snapped. She crossed her arms defiantly, making it clear she wasn’t interested in being reasonable.
“You!” Matthew, who had been beaten, was furious. He clenched his fists in anger, glaring at her. “You’re being completely unreasonable! If anyone here doesn’t know how to talk properly, it’s you!”
Diana snorted coldly. “You’re the one stupid enough to believe that little bitch’s manipulation!” Diana wasn’t stupid. On her way to Hasen City, she had already sent people to investigate everything thoroughly. She knew exactly how they had mistreated Eliza.
Whether she was being reasonable or not, she would stand by Eliza’s side. Besides, when had Diana ever been reasonable? She had always been the type to stand by her loved ones, no matter what.
